Serbia Coat of Arms
USA
Today
Thursday, October 1, 2009
A secretive California outfit called the American Police Force is taking over the 2-year-old, never-used prison in Hardin, Mont., that was briefly considered a possible spot for Guantanamo prisoners.
The story has many twists and turns. We recommend you read The Billings Gazette article for a primer on the story. KULR TV, of Billings, Mont., The Missoulian, and Talking Points Memo are also on the case.
APF’s website, which has been periodically unavailable (click here for a recent cache of their site), says it “leverages the talent and expertise of their extensive global network to provide local, regional, and national security solutions to the United States Government and other clients who are in need of customized private investigative services.”
Here’s its website pitch:
Whether you are suspicious about a cheating spouse or concerned about a personal threat, APF’s team will employ their experience to fulfill your domestic investigation needs.
In one odd twist, Becky Shay, a reporter for the Billings Gazette who has reported extensively on the Hardin Prison, quit her job and is now a spokeswoman for the group in Hardin. Except that she now mainly has “no comment” when pressed about what is going on.

Two Rivers Authority officials say having APF patrol the streets was never part of their agenda. "I have no idea. I really don't because that's not been a part of any of the discussions we've had with any of them," said Two Rivers Authority's Al Peterson.
As it stands now the Big Horn County Sheriff's Department is contracted to patrol the city and APF has no jurisdiction. If that was changed Peterson says it would have to go through the city council.
As for the jail contract with APF, both sides are yet to agree to a deal as bondholders rejected it again on Thursday morning. "It's a complicated issue there are a lot of tax laws to work through we were hoping to get it by Tuesday night now we're hoping to get it by Friday night," said Peterson.
Officials say the contract only deals with the detention facility and a police training center. There's no mention of a homeless shelter, animal shelter, or any services for the area.
"That was never in the contract to begin with. I think it was on a wish list of what Captain Michael wanted to do here," said Peterson. American Police Force officials plan to stay in the area for the next month.

Exposed: American Police Force Is A Blackwater Front Group
Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet.com
Thursday, October 1, 2009

UPDATE: The American Police Force website page which clearly states that they run the Blackwater-controlled U.S. Training Center is back online here.
American Police Force, the paramilitary unit patrolling a small town in Montana, has been exposed as being a front group for the disgraced private military contractor Blackwater, now called “Xe”.
The American Police Force website, on a page that has swiftly been deleted but remains cached here, states that APF runs the “U.S. Training Center,” which proves “a wide range of instruction and training for all types of law enforcement organizations, from basic firearms training to complex SWAT tactics,” according to the website.
The Blackwater website carries on its contact page the following address, underneath the logo for U.S. Training Center.
Xe Services, LLC
PO Box 1029
Moyock, NC 27958
Xe Services LLC is the new name of Blackwater USA. In addition, the U.S. Training Center contact page carries the exact same address.
PO Box 1029
Moyock, NC 27958
The U.S. Training Center is run by Blackwater. Indeed, The U.S. Training Center website, can be accessed via Blackwater’s forwarding URL at http://www.blackwaterusa.com/.
According to a February 2009 NY Times article, the U.S. Training Center is a Blackwater “subsidiary that conducts much of the company’s overseas operations and domestic training.” Blackwater changed the name of the facility from its old title, Blackwater Lodge and Training Center, earlier this this when they also changed their own name to “Xe”.
Since Blackwater runs the U.S. Training Center, and the American Police Force stated on its own website, before it was deleted this morning, that it also runs the U.S. Training Center, there is no other conclusion to draw but that APF and Blackwater are one and the same. Or in other words, APF is a front group for Blackwater.
CLICK FOR ENLARGEMENT: The American Police Force website, on a page that has now been deleted, states that the organization runs the U.S. Training Center.
CLICK FOR ENLARGEMENT: From Blackwater’s USA’s website with the U.S. Training Center logo at the top.
CLICK FOR ENLARGEMENT: From the U.S. Training Center website, the contact address is the same as on the Blckwater site becaue Blackwater owns the U.S. Training Center.
A domain registry check confirms that the U.S. Training Center website is registered to XE Services.
The fact that American Police Force attempted to hide the link by deleting the page on their website is further evidence that they are trying to conceal the fact that they are nothing more than a front group for Blackwater.
The U.S. Training Center is the training facility for Blackwater’s front group, American Police Force. This means that the new training facility that “American Police Force” are trying to build in Hardin is another Blackwater training facility.
This also means that Blackwater troops, under the guise of “American Police Force” have been patrolling Hardin, posing as law enforcement, and are also attempting to boss the $27 million dollar detention center recently built in the Montana town.
Many people have expressed suspicions that the convicted criminal running “American Police Force,” Michael Hilton, is not really the leader of the company and is merely a go between for his bosses. This is now confirmed by the revelation that APF is a front group for Blackwater.
APF’s reticence to divulge who their parent company was to reporters is also explained by the fact that they are a Blackwater front.
As the videos below discuss, Blackwater has been widely attacked for its involvement in atrocities in Iraq and Afghanistan. To have such individuals patrolling the streets of American towns posing as law enforcement and manning detention camps is a chilling precedent and all the more reason why American Police Force – or Blackwater as we should now call them – should be kicked out of Hardin immediately and face criminal charges for violating article 2 section 33 of the Montana Constitution.

In what was possibly the most surreal, horrific, and unimaginable thing I have ever witnessed in my life, 1200 Riot Police and Military Personal rabidly attacked a group of well under 300 American citizens, many of them just students that were unaware there was even a protest going on. They then expanded their perimeter and shut large areas of Oakland down. This is how my last experience at the G20 in Pittsburgh went down, out of control authorities mercilessly attacking an unarmed crowd with batons, tear gas, pepper spray, sound weapons, and rubber bullets. Around 10pm on Friday night, long after the vast majority of dignitaries and protesters had left, it became evident that the outrageous show of force by the Military and Police was not enough to stave off their thirst for blood.
When I first arrived on the scene Luke Rudowski of We Are Change and a small group of protesters were peaceably assembling among a much larger number of college students just out for another weekend of fun in Schenley Plaza. Around ten minutes later Rob Dew arrived and we began filming the entire scene, it was evident that the number of police already in the area and the amount who were massing and surrounding the perimeter was extremely alarming.
As Luke bull horned that the people in this park meant the police no physical harm, and that they were simply exercising their right to free speech, a couple of masked individuals began to scream “He doesn’t speak for us”. These few provocateurs and well meaning idiots could have been easily dealt with by a handful of regular police officers dressed in their standard uniform, however that solution does not offer the pretext for over a thousand heavily armed psychotics to encircle and engage the American people.
I began to become extremely frightened as to what the outcome of the situation was going to be as I began to witness LRAD weapons showing up, dogs beginning to circle the perimeter, and then everyone putting on their gas masks. During all of this I was threatened with arrest three times and physically charged and chased by one of the officers. At that point I realized they were about to attack, and they did. Hundreds of armed to the teeth trained professionals began their march towards innocent young men and women, and then took it much further by launching tear gas canisters, battening people trying to leave, and firing rubber bullets randomly into the crowd. Luckily I was able to slip through the cracks of a blockade of only 6 or so riot thugs as they tried to amass more in that area and form another brutal line.
I personally witnessed a young man on a bike being beaten for no reason whatsoever and as he fled the officers then beat his bike. When the young man tried to retrieve his bike his knuckle was broken. Another man was gassed so badly he had to be taken to the hospital. This is how “Peace Officers” treat us?
During the very quick first burst of the madness I lost touch with Infowars Producer and Cameraman Rob Dew, I immediately thought he had been arrested, and I was correct. He was illegally detained and digitally fingerprinted in a separate process for “protesters”. Rob was cuffed all evening in a room full of other detainees, and was not released until 10:20 am the next morning with no charges being brought against him. Military and Police mocked them as Americans were being detained and processed often laughing at college students that had been beaten for no other reason for being in the wrong place around their campus that evening.
Luke Rudowski received multiple battens to his back and legs as the jackals descended on him with force, even though he had made it clear to all of them he wished them no violence. For his peaceful efforts Luke and Lee from We Are Change were separated from the rest of the more than one hundred detainees and sent to State Prison. Luke was strip searched, mocked, and charged with Disorderly Conduct and Unlawful Assembly, and will have to go back to Pittsburgh Wednesday to face charges. The Military and Police laughed as they took note of the “Superstar” that had been all over the news on channel 11 and even National NBC, taking a sick pleasure in the torture of another human being.
Welcome to the New Amerika.

Story

G20 security officials took responsibility Friday afternoon for a video that seemed to depict US troops ‘kidnapping’ a protester.
The military was not involved in the incident, but G20 security did acknowledge that “law enforcement officers from a multi-agency tactical response team” had detained a protester they said was believed to be vandalizing a store.
Video posted at YouTube shows onlookers calling out “what the fuck” and “what the fuck is wrong with you?” as people in camo uniforms haul a protester along by his collar, shove him into the back seat of a car, and rapidly drive off.
Officials with G20 security released the following statement to Raw Story and other media outlets:
“Military members supporting the G20 Summit work with local law enforcement authorities but do not have the authority to make arrests. The individuals involved in the 9/24/09 arrest which has appeared online are law enforcement officers from a multi-agency tactical response team assigned to the security operations for the G20. It is not unusual for tactical team members to wear camouflaged fatigues. The type of fatigues the officers wear designates their unit affiliation.
Prior to the arrest, the officers observed this subject vandalizing a local business. Due to the hostile nature of the crowd, officer safety and the safety of the person under arrest, the subject was immediately removed from the area.”
The video was featured this morning at the Drudge Report under the heading, “SEE U.S. MILITARY SNATCH PROTESTER… .”
At the liberal website Democratic Underground, one commenter asserted, “This is staged” and then claimed, “Those were not the uniforms National Guard/military were wearing yesterday. Neither was that the vehicles they were driving. This was just a bunch of idiots trying to make some point.”
According to news reports, “U.S. authorities assembled a security force of nearly 5,000 people to safeguard the event, including 2,500 National Guard troops, 1,200 state troopers, 875 Pittsburgh city police and small groups of officers from other agencies.”
Police and National Guard troops headed off an unauthorized march by some 1000 protesters on Thursday and eventually forced the crowd to scatter.
The police reaction to the protests has been marked by what antiwar activist Cindy Sheehan calls “profound overkill.”
“I have been to dozens of protests, large and small, since my son was killed in Iraq, but I have never seen anything like today,” Sheehan writes. “There were easily two cops/soldiers for every one of us protesters or maybe even 3 to 1.”
Sheehan also witnessed the National Guard troops working with the local police and comments, “Seeing the National Guard troops, fresh from Iraq, broke my heart the hardest. I also talked to dozens of them, none had ever heard of posse commitatus, and asked them if my son, their brother, died in Iraq so they could steal the rights of his mother. Most of them wouldn’t even look at me.”
These videos are from YouTube, posted September 25, 2009.

In the photo here, we see an LRAD mounted in the rear of a militarized police vehicle driving through the back streets of Pittsburgh terrorizing the residents. Note the child on the curb holding up his hands to block the sound of the terrorist device. He’s obviously with al-Qaeda.

In videos posted on Infowars, we can see that demonstrators and on-lookers — and the majority of them seem to be on-lookers — are not engaged in violence or are they a threat to the police (who are outfitted in black Darth Vader military gear).
The use of the LRAD in Pittsburgh during the G20 Mafia confab is the first use of the device in the United States. It was first used against Iraqis disgruntled over the occupation of their country by U.S. military forces and trigger-happy contractors. It was tested on the killing ground of Fallujah and is used in Baghdad and elsewhere in Iraq. The LRAD device was on hand at protests of the 2004 Republican National Convention in New York City but not used. It was used extensively in the client state Georgia against opposition protesters in Tbilisi in November 2007.
U.S.-outfitted Georgian cops use LRAD against demonstrators.
In the coming months, we will likely see the LRAD terror weapon used against an increasing number of demonstrators as the economy tanks. Pittsburgh was a beta test.

Cops May Get Portable Pain Weapon
New Scientist
October 1, 2009
The idea of the weapon is to “create a heating sensation that repels individual adversaries”, according to the Joint Non-Lethal Weapons Directorate (JNLWD) in Quantico, Virginia, which develops less-lethal weapons for the US military and coastguard.
Tests with a rifle-mounted infrared laser, carried out at a US air force lab near Dayton, Ohio, have determined a combination of laser pulse power and wavelength that causes an alarming, hot sensation on the skin, but which stops short of causing a burn, says JNLWD project engineer Wesley Burgei.

A powerful hand-held weapon being developed by the Pentagon could end up in police hands, says a report in a UK science journal.
The Pentagon’s Joint Non-Lethal Weapons Directorate has been developing the Thermal Laser System since 2005, with the purpose of developing a weapon that could disperse crowds or incapacitate individuals by causing them to experience burning sensations in their skin.
According to NewScientist magazine, the weapon has evolved into a rifle-mounted instrument, and there are plans for a hand-held model that could be used by police forces.
News of the possibility that police departments could obtain the burn weapon will likely concern civil-liberties advocates, who have been watching with alarm as the Taser conducted-energy weapon has gone into regular use in police forces across the United States.
As NewScientist notes, the weapon is still in the testing phase and kinks have yet to be worked out.
The Gizmag blog reported last week that “the infrared [rays] of the Thermal Laser System can be blocked by clothing – fine if you’re trying to subdue a group of nudists, but problematic otherwise.”
NewScientist reports:
[T]ests at the Air Force Research Laboratory’s human effectiveness lab have established that the skin heating effect causes no permanent damage – suggesting it may have “military utility”. The tests also highlighted areas in need of improvement before troops can use it, says lab manager Semih Kumru – though what those features are has not been revealed.
The proposed system is rifle mounted, with a sight above it and a visible low-power laser beam that the soldier uses to aim the invisible infrared laser. The solid-state laser system is battery-powered, and could become hand-held “in the near future”…
“I’d like to know why they want another advanced pain compliance weapon like this,” says Steve Wright, non-lethal weapons analyst at Leeds Metropolitan University in the UK. “Persuading by pain rather than brain – through conversation – has led to push-button torture in the past. If it leaves no mark on the skin how will anyone prove it’s been abused?”

G-20 Advances New World Order, Media Admit
the new american
| Written by Alex Newman |

Almost as if a global memo had been sent out, headlines of major media outlets across the planet announced the unfolding of the coming “New World Order” — with a smaller role for the United States and freedom. A correspondingly larger role will be reserved for tyrannical governments like China and global economic management by international institutions, the news reports explained.
Even U.S. government-funded media outlets like Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty used the term in an article headlined, “‘New World Order’ Emerging At G-20 Summit.” The article began: “A new world order is emerging at the G-20 Summit in Pittsburgh with a decision by the group to become the premier coordinating body on economic issues.” The story also noted that countries like China would be given “more of a voice in how the global economy is run.”
A separate article in the U.K.’s Telegraph, entitled “G20
to police new world economic order,” explained that the Communist nation
and other developing countries would be given more voting power in the
International Monetary Fund (IMF), a sort of planetary central bank regime that
has played a large role in ushering in the new world order.
“Global leaders took their biggest steps yet toward a new world order that’s
less U.S.-centric with a more heavily regulated financial industry and a greater
role for international institutions and emerging markets,” explained a
Bloomberg News report headlined “G-20
Shapes New World Order With Lesser Role for U.S., Markets.” Regarding the
IMF, the article noted: “The G-20 also agreed to an allocation of $250 billion
in Special Drawing Rights, the artificial currency that the IMF uses to settle
accounts among its member nations. The move is akin to a central bank such as
the Federal Reserve effectively creating money out of thin air, except it’s on
a global scale.” A Reuters article, entitled “New
world economic order takes shape at G20,” underscored the points. Hundreds
of billions more will be provided to the IMF by governments.
The group also agreed to regulate some salaries in the private sector and crack
down on tax havens. Additionally, it will continue “stimulating” the economy
by throwing taxpayer money at government programs. It all sounds suspiciously
similar to the old world order, only even more totalitarian.
Countless other headlines announced the new world order and its intentions as
well. “Obama
to Usher In New World Order at G-20,” was the title of an article by Fox
News. An NBC report headline read: “New
World Order: Obama to Widen G-20’s Role.” In Russia, Pravda ran a
story entitled “G20
to Become Premier Coordinating Body in Global Economic Order,” while the
Toronto Star in Canada published an opinion piece entitled “Changing
power structure shapes a new world order.” An Associated
Press article summed it up well: “Major world leaders formed themselves
into a new board of directors for the global economy Friday.” Where they
purport to obtain this authority from was not addressed.
And the assembled leaders invoked similar concepts throughout the week, even if
they didn't necessarily use the phrase "new world order." British
Prime Minister Gordon Brown announced: "The old system of international
economic cooperation is over. The new system, as of today, has begun." He
also explained that the G-20 would become the "premier economic
organization for dealing with economic management around the world."
President Barack Obama advanced the tired excuse for world government (without
calling it that) in his September 23 speech
to the United Nations General Assembly, prior to attending the G-20 summit
later in the week. “We have sought — in word and deed — a new era of
engagement with the world,” he told the UN General Assembly. “Now is the
time for all of us to take our share of responsibility for a global response to
global challenges.” The "engagement" and "global response"
Obama envisions would not be without teeth. He acknowledged that the United
Nations "struggles to enforce its will, and to live up to the ideals of its
founding." But he added, "I believe that those imperfections are not a
reason to walk away from this institution." Indeed, later in his speech he
effused that "we can be a generation that chooses to see the shoreline
beyond the rough waters ahead; that comes together to serve the common interests
of human beings, and finally gives meaning to the promise embedded in the name
given to this institution: the United Nations."
And Luiz Inacio, the radical leftist President of Brazil, called for a
"world economic order" in his own speech to the UN General Assembly.
"Because the global economy is interdependent, we are obliged to intervene
across national borders and must therefore re-found the world economic
order," he
was quoted as saying by AFP.

New World Order: Obama to Widen G-20's Role
China, India and Brazil win new clout
Updated 4:16 AM EDT, Fri, Sep 25, 2009

Welcome to the world’s boardroom.
President Obama is pushing to make the Group of 20 nations the leading forum for global economic cooperation, where policies could be subjected to a form of "peer review," The Wall Street Journal reported. The move, set to be announced today in Pittsburgh, would give major emerging economies China, Brazil and India more power in future economic discussions by having the G-20 take on roles previously played by the Group of 8. The G-8 would continue to meet separately on security issues, according to reports.
Also today in Steel City, world leaders and finance ministers are expected to discuss ways to lessen global trade imbalances and rein in bankers’ pay.
Authorities are bracing for a second day of protests after hundreds greeted the start of the two-day summit. On Thursday, riot police fired tear gas and arrested nearly 20 people, though there were no reported injuries, the AP reported.
===============================================================================
===============================================================================
Reuters source
PITTSBURGH (Reuters) - The Group of 20 is set to become the premier coordinating body on global economic issues, reflecting a new world economic order in which emerging market countries like China are much more relevant, according to a draft communique.
Leaders of the G20 developed and developing nations also agreed to make the International Monetary Fund more representative by increasing the voting power of countries that have long been under-represented in the world financial body, said the draft G20 communique obtained by Reuters.
It called for a shift in IMF voting by at least 5 percent, although several G20 representatives said it was a 5 percentage point shift from developed to under-represented countries. Currently, the split in voting power is 57 percent for industrialized countries and 43 percent for developing countries. The shift would make the split nearly 50-50.
The G20 was formed in 1999 for finance ministers and central bank chiefs following the Asian financial crisis. The idea was to help the G7 -- the United States, Germany, Britain, France, Italy, Canada and Japan -- talk with the wider world.
Following are some of the implications of the decisions:
* The shifts reflect a recognition by the United States and Europe of a new global economic reality in which emerging market economies play a bigger role, especially in the aftermath of the global financial crisis that hurt developed economies more than developing ones.
* By making the G20 the new global economic coordinator, countries are committing to maintaining cooperation even after the global financial upheaval and recession recede. The G20 was upgraded from a ministerial to a leaders-level forum only last year as the crisis deepened.
* Adopting the G20 as the new economic steering committee raises questions over the whether or not the Group of Eight, which makes up the world's industrial countries, will eventually be faded out. Diplomats said the G8 would continue to function but would focus on non-economic issues.
* The agreements are big wins for U.S. President Barack Obama, hosting his first international summit. Since his election last year, he has pushed for changes in the global financial architecture to recognize the increasing economic clout of China and other emerging markets.
The agreement to overhaul the IMF's voting structure is especially big for the new Obama administration, given that the United States proposed the 5 percentage point shift. The speed with which the G20 agreed to the change -- if the draft communique is eventually adopted -- is surprising because of the politically sensitive nature of the issue for Europe, which will see the biggest dilution in its voting power.
* Giving developing nations more say at the IMF and a bigger say in global economic affairs could help Obama succeed in his push to get big exporters like China to increase domestic demand, helping slower-growing economies like the United States to find new markets.
* The shift of at least 5 percentage points in voting power is the largest increase ever seen in the IMF's voting structure and is likely to see China overtake old European powers Britain and France which have long resisted the move.
* The G20 decision on IMF voting reform will give momentum to a 2011 deadline for overhauling IMF governance which will then be voted on by the IMF's 186 member countries.
* The G20 also agreed the head of the IMF should be selected based on qualifications and not nationality, according to the draft communique obtained by Reuters. The decision is significant because the head of the IMF has always been a European, while the president of the World Bank has always been an American.

The G-20 ministers declared their meeting in Pittsburgh a success, but as Rob Kall reports in OpEdNews.com, the meeting’s main success was to turn Pittsburgh into “a ghost-town, emptied of workers and the usual pedestrians, but filled to overflowing with over 12,000 swat cops from all over the US.”
This is “freedom and democracy” at work. The leaders of the G-20 countries, which account for 85% of the world’s income, cannot meet in an American city without 12,000 cops outfitted like the emperor’s storm troopers in Star Wars. And the US government complains about Iran.
The US government’s complaints about Iran have reached a new level of shrillness. On September 25 Obama declared: “Iran is breaking rules that all nations must follow.” The heads of America’s British, French, and German puppet states added their two cents worth, giving the government of Iran three months to meet the “international community’s demands” to give up its rights as a signatory to the non-proliferation treaty to nuclear energy. In case you don’t know, the term “international community” is shorthand for the US, Israel, and Europe, a handful of arrogant and rich countries that oppress the rest of the world.
Who is breaking the rules? Iran or the United States?
Iran is insisting that the US government abide by the non-proliferation treaty that the US originated and pushed and that Iran signed. But the US government, which is currently engaged in three wars of aggression and has occupying troops in a number of other countries, insists that Iran, which is invading and occupying no country, cannot be trusted with nuclear energy capability, because the capability might in the future lead to nuclear weapon capability, like Israel’s, India’s, and Pakistan’s–all non-signatories to the nuclear proliferation treaty, countries that, unlike Iran, have never submitted to IAEA inspections. Indeed, at this very moment the Israeli government is screaming and yelling “anti-Semite” to the suggestion that Israel submit to IAEA inspections. Iran has submitted to the IAEA inspections for years.
In keeping with its obligations under the treaty, on September 21 Iran disclosed to the International Atomic Energy Agency that it is constructing another nuclear facility. The British prime minister Gordon Brown confused Iran’s disclosure with “serial deception,” and declared, “We will not let this matter rest.”
What matter? Why does Gordon Brown think that Iran’s disclosure to the IAEA is a deception. Does the moronic UK prime minister mean that Iran is claiming to be constructing a plant but is not, and thus by claiming one is deceiving the world?
Not to be outdone in idiocy, out of Obama’s mouth jumped Orwellian doublespeak: “The Iranian government must now demonstrate through deeds its peaceful intentions or be held accountable to international standards and international law.”
The incongruity blows the mind. Here is Obama, with troops engaged in wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan demanding that a peaceful nation at war with no one demonstrate “its peaceful intentions or be held accountable to international standards and international law.”
It is the US government and its NATO puppet states, and militarist Israel, of course, that need to be held accountable to international law. Under international law the US, its NATO puppets, and Israel are war criminal governments. There is no doubt about it. The record is totally clear. The US, Israel, and the NATO puppet states have committed military aggression exactly as did Germany’s Third Reich, and they have murdered large numbers of civilians. Following the Fuhrer’s script, “the great democratic republics” have justified these acts of lawlessness with lies and deceptions.
Rudy Giuliani, the former US Attorney who framed high profile victims in order to gain name recognition for a political career, keynoted a rally against Iran in New York on September 25. According to Richard Silverstein at AlterNet, the rally was sponsored by an Israeli lobby group and an organization with connections to an Iranian terror organization (probably financed by the US government) that calls for the violent overthrow of the Iranian government.
The efforts to build pressure for acts of war against Iran continue despite the repeated declaration from the IAEA that there is no sign of an Iranian nuclear weapons program, and despite the reaffirmation by US intelligence agencies that Iran abandoned its nuclear weapons program years ago.
Meanwhile, the US and Israeli governments, who are so solicitous of international law and holding accountable countries that violate it, have moved to prevent the report of Judge Richard Goldstone from reaching the UN Security Council.
Why?
Judge Goldstone’s report found Israel guilty of war crimes in its massive military assault against civilians and civilian infrastructure in Gaza.
The continuous efforts of the world’s two militarist-aggressor states–the United States and Israel–to demonize Iran was addressed by Ahmadinejad in his speech to the UN General Assembly (September 23). Ahmadinejad spoke of the assault on human dignity and spiritual values by the selfish material interests of the US and its puppet states. Seeking hegemony “under the mantle of freedom,” the US and its puppets use “the ugliest methods of intimidation and deceit” to disguise that they are “the first who violate” the fundamental principles that they espouse and apply to others.
Why, Ahmadinejad asked the UN General Assembly, do the countries of the world sit there while Israel murders and dispossesses the Palestinian people?
Why, asked Ahmadinejad, do the countries of the world sit there while the US, from thousands of miles away, sends troops to the Middle East, “spreading war, bloodshed, aggression, terror and intimidation in the whole region,” while blaming the countries that are suffering the West’s naked aggression?
Ahmadinejad told the General Assembly what most of the UN representatives already know, that “selfishness and insatiable greed have taken the place of such humanitarian concepts as love, sacrifice, dignity, and justice. . . . Lies have taken the place of honesty; hypocrisy has replaced integrity, and selfishness has taken the place of sacrifice. Deception in foreign affairs is called foresight and statesmanship, looting the wealth of other nations is called development efforts; occupation is said to be a gift that promotes freedom and democracy; and defenseless nations are subjected to repression in the name of defending human rights.”
It could not be put any clearer. However, if Ahmadinejad’s speech is reported by the US print and TV media, statements will be taken out of context and used to enrage the conservatives and Christian Zionists in order to unify them behind the Obama/Israeli assault on Iran.
America will not be satisfied until, like Rome, she has more enemies and more wars than she can survive.

As a new world order emerges from the G20 Summit, will India be able to handle the new responsibility that comes with more power being bestowed on it?
Sunday, September 27, 2009 17:03 IST
It took the worst US recession since the 1930s for the West to make a clean break with old thinking. The Group of 20 (G20) nations that emerged last November to tackle the global crisis and its aftermath will now replace the World War II Group of eight (G8) powers as a permanent council for global economic cooperation.
The initiative was pushed by US president Barack Obama and satisfies the demands of the world's new economic stars -- China, India and Brazil -- who have demanded a seat at the decision-making table. The US initiative is likely to result in a 5%-point shift in the ownership of the IMF from industrialised to developing countries. "It is a substantial step in the right direction," Montek Singh Ahluwalia, deputy chairman of India's planning commission, has said.
Can India, which has been facing problems like terrorism, draught, population explosion and unemployment on its own turf, handle the world's problems?
With power come responsibilities. Can India fulfill these with ease? Has the time come for the Indian government to shoulder global responsibilities, or should it first fulfill what it owes its own people?
As a new world order emerges from the G20 Summit, will India be able to handle the new responsibility that comes with more power being bestowed on it?
===============================================================================
(RTTNews) - The G-20 will replace the smaller Group of Eight
industrialized nations as the forum to coordinate global economic cooperation,
signaling a greater role in international affairs for emerging giants China
and India.
"Today, leaders endorsed the G-20 as the premier forum for their
international economic cooperation. This decision brings to the table the
countries needed to build a stronger, more balanced global economy, reform the
financial system, and lift the lives of the poorest," said the White
House in a statement released Thursday night.
Imbalances in the global economy are widely thought to be a major source of
discussion at the G-20 now underway in Pittsburgh. With the economic crisis
causing Americans to rethink attitudes about spending, US official have
signaled their desire to have Chinese consumers drive global economic growth.
Collectively, the G-20 economies comprise 85% of global gross national product
and two-thirds of the world population.
"Dramatic changes in the world economy have not always been reflected in
the global architecture for economic cooperation," said the
administration, explaining the need for a larger forum to craft plans for a
durable economic recovery.
The more exclusive Group of Eight is comprised of only United States,
France, United Kingdom, Russia, Germany, Japan, Italy, and Canada.
Reports have surfaced at the G-20 indicating the Italians are upset with the
new arrangement.
The previous G-20 took place during the throes of the economic meltdown.
Promises in London of massive stimulus spending and low interest rates have
largely been met, and widely credited with helping to stabilize the global
economy following the collapse of the financial system.
Canada has been chosen to host the next G-20 summit, which will take place at
around the same time as the final G8 meeting in Huntsville, Ontario next
summer.

It took a Wall Street bonfire of the vanities that may cost the United States, Canada and other countries $5 trillion to put out, but the politicians have finally acknowledged that the world has changed.
In Pittsburgh on Friday, Prime Minister Stephen Harper and his fellow leaders made history by agreeing that from now on political leaders from the Group of 20 countries will take over from the smaller Group of Eight club of wealthy nations as stewards of the global economy. It's a daring change, and a welcome one.
"We can no longer meet the challenges of the 21st century with 20th century approaches," U.S. President Barack Obama said. "That's why the G20 will take the lead in building a new approach to cooperation."
The G20 has long been a lower-level forum for finance ministers, but the pressure of last year's financial crisis prompted the G20 leaders to get together for the first time to forge a consensus on stimulus. Now, that process has been institutionalized.
This brings the leaders of China, Brazil, India, Australia and Mexico, among others, into the inner circle of decision-makers. All have $1 trillion-plus economies and should be at the table in order for the world to function effectively.
The shift recognizes that in a globalized world the advanced G8 economies no longer hold all the cards; emerging economies have become key players, too. While the heavily indebted U.S., for example, is under pressure to curb consumption and boost savings, China needs to move in the other direction by hiking consumption and improving social services. Remedying a China/U.S. trade imbalance that contributed to the crisis requires careful coordination on both sides. That's what the new G20 aims to deliver.
It's fitting, too, that Canada will host the first formal meeting of the new G20 next year. Former prime minister Paul Martin lobbied for it. He saw the expanded forum focusing not only on the economy but also on closing the rich/poor gap, climate change and terror.
Despite a distracting uproar in Pittsburgh over Iran's covert nuclear program, the summiteers charted the next steps on the economy.
They agreed to maintain stimulus programs until growth takes firm hold. That's essential to prevent a second recessionary round.
They agreed as well to develop a "new framework" for global growth designed to rein in trade imbalances, among other goals. The International Monetary Fund will provide analysis and guidance in a "peer review" to make sure national policies support growth.
Finally, they agreed to rein in what Obama calls "reckless behaviour and unchecked excess" in the discredited financial industry. They plan to tie executive pay to performance, to claw back bonuses when investments sour, to require banks to retain more capital as a buffer against losses, and to add transparency to the derivatives market.
These reforms still lack detail. That sets the stage for wrangling. But after a financial meltdown that wiped out trillions in wealth, threw millions out of jobs, and drove millions into abject poverty, it is a welcome first step.

Panta rhei. Everything flows.
This Greek aphorism often comes to mind when I think of the economic and political changes in my lifetime. They seemed as impossible before they occurred as they have felt natural in retrospect. Communism fell. Germany was united. The United States elected a black man president. And now we are in a phase in which Asia is catching up with the West and American hegemony is being challenged.
While American casino capitalism has collapsed, and America's European economic satellites are suffering, China seems to be taking advantage of the situation, increasing its trade surplus in the midst of the global economic crisis. Indeed, in the first four months of this year, China became the world's leading goods exporter, overtaking Germany, the previous champion.
It is true that in other economic terms, China still lags far behind. Although China accounts for 20 per cent of the world's population, its share of global GDP currently is only 7 per cent. By contrast, the United States and the European Union account for 54 per cent of global GDP, despite having only 12 per cent of the world's population.
But these figures are changing rapidly, owing to China's exuberant growth. From 1995 to 2008, China's economy grew by 229 per cent, while the world economy grew by 63 per cent, the U.S. by 45 per cent, and the 27-member EU by only 37 per cent. It may be difficult for China to ever match the success of a small Asian country like Singapore, which has already overtaken the U.S. in terms of GDP per capita as measured by purchasing power parity. Yet China will undoubtedly become the world's largest economic power in the foreseeable future. To achieve this leadership position, it needs less than a quarter of U.S. per capita GDP, because its population is more than four times larger.
The forces of globalization that were liberated by the fall of communism have created a better world, with rapid economic convergence and shrinking inequality. The proportion of people living below the World Bank's poverty line of $1.25 a day shrank from 52 per cent in 1981 to only 25 per cent in 2005. More than 50 per cent of the world's population is now considered middle class, with a living standard above the average of the developed countries' poverty lines ($8.2 per day at 1996 prices). And the worldwide Gini coefficient of inter-country inequality fell from 0.653 to 0.556 from 1980 to 2007, owing largely to the astounding performance of the emerging countries, particularly China and India.
The development of the world has not been without problems, however. Carbon-dioxide emissions have been growing fast, fossil-fuel resources are being depleted rapidly, and global warming has accelerated.
Even if the U.S. embraces the Kyoto Protocol under President Barack Obama, the world's temperature will break the record of the last 800,000 years in the next 30 years.
Moreover, huge waves of migrants from developing countries to OECD countries challenge the assimilation capacity of the latter and deprive the former of its educated workforce. In the U.S. and Germany, 13 per cent of the population is foreign born, as are 8 per cent of France's inhabitants and 10 per cent of Britain's. Unskilled migrants tend to come to Europe, where they burden the welfare state, and skilled migrants are lured to the U.S., although they are urgently needed at home. The brain drain is a problem not only for South America west of the Andes and many African countries, but also for Turkey, Italy, Britain, the Balkan countries, Germany and Finland.
Migration from developing countries partly reflects a problem that also triggered the current financial crisis: international capital flowed in the wrong direction. In recent years, the U.S. absorbed half the world's capital exports, while China provided one-fifth of the total. In 2007 alone, the U.S. imported $790 billion of capital, while the emerging and developing countries exported $714 billion.
This made it possible for U.S. households to stop saving and enjoy an exorbitant consumption level, but it stood on its head the conventional wisdom that capital should flow from rich to poor countries, where it can more productively be invested.
Since the world will not continue to provide the U.S. with goods in exchange for dubious financial securities, Americans will have to leave their dream world. They will have to brace themselves for an extensive period of diminished expectations that will last much longer than the next economic boom, and that will require substantial structural changes in the U.S. economy.
In the next few decades, the biggest challenge for the world will be peace, because the changing economic power structure will require corresponding political changes, which the U.S., as the incumbent superpower, will not easily accept.
The situation is similar to Germany's challenge to British geopolitical hegemony in the 19th century, when the German economy blossomed. The resulting political tensions led to a second Thirty Years' War that brought Western civilization to the brink of collapse. It can only be hoped that the political leaders who shape the course of the 21st century will be wise enough to avoid such an outcome.

Chavez, Gaddafi seek new world order

PORLAMAR, Venezuela (Reuters) - Venezuela's socialist President Hugo Chavez urged colleagues from Africa and South America to help form a "multipolar" world on Saturday at a summit intended to counter Western economic dominance.
"This is the beginning of the salvation of our people," Chavez said in an opening speech to the two-day meeting.
His summit guests included Libya's Muammar Gaddafi, who is celebrating four decades in office and had a white limousine flown to Venezuela to meet him at the airport, and Robert Mugabe, who has led Zimbabwe for nearly 30 years.
Chavez has governed for just over 10 years and makes no bones about his aim to stay in office for decades more while he works to turn oil-rich Venezuela into a socialist state.
He said the summit, attended by 28 African and South American leaders, would help the mainly poor nations improve ties and rely less on Europe and the United States.
"The 21st century won't be a bipolar world, it won't be unipolar. It will be multipolar. Africa will be an important geographic, economic and social pole. And South America will be too," Chavez said.
Also attending were the presidents of Brazil and South Africa. Their model of business-friendly economics mixed with a focus on helping the poor is more popular among many African countries than Chavez's radical message.
The leaders are expected to ink a document on Sunday backing stronger links between the two continents and urging global bodies like the United Nations and World Bank to give poor countries more clout.

Africa and South America: A new world order confirmed
"We agree that this summit should not be just another summit. This will be a successful summit, not just speeches and a final declaration that goes unnoticed. We are working to integrate South America and Africa,” Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez said early September, during a visit to Tripoli. This statement speaks volumes about the consideration the leader has given to South-South relations.
At the summit, the leaders agreed to launch a new development bank for South America, the Banco del Sur, with an initial start up investment of $20bn. Jean-Jacques Seymour, journalist and writer, elaborating on the reasons for the summit indicated that the creation of a bank for Latin America and Africa will be "an alternative to the International Monetary Fund and World Bank for Southern countries,” while the implementation of a common currency to replace the FCFA will represent a “win-win” commercial exchange. A change in financial and commercial structures is necessary if this partnership has to work. "All the energy infrastructure, both in South America and in Africa, was designed and developed to meet the energy requirements of the industrial powers that our countries were satellites of," said Venezuelan minister of energy and petroleum, Rafael Ramirez.
Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America, "a coloured essence"
The matter of interest for the Venezuelan president is the creation of a cooperation concept in line with a similar one initiated with the Caribbean in April 2005 by the Bolivarian Association for the Americas (ALBA). This social, economic and political organisation was created by virtue of the initiative of Havana and Caracas to promote cooperation between the two socialist countries. For Hugo Chavez, the African continent, the Caribbean and Latin America represent "a coloured essence”. "We have more to do along with our sister continent, Mother Africa, after having set our eyes on the Western capitalist world. Caracas has to become a bridge to all kinds of cultural Economic cooperation between Africa and Latin America," he said during a tribute to the Late Burkinabe president, Thomas Sankara ahead of the South-South summit themed "Closing the gap, opening up opportunities".
It is in this light that Hugo Chavez has since 2005 multiplied deals with Africa. For example, Venezuela is cooperating with Mali in various sectors: telecommunications, agriculture, mining, health and education. Latin American countries are counting on their oil resources to encourage African states to move closer to ALBA. Venezuela is among the countries with the largest hydrocarbon reserves and already supplies crude at preferential rates to 17 countries in Central America and the Caribbean since 2005. This is viewed as major asset for highly dependent countries.
Hugo Chavez has moved to adopt a partnership strategy in relation to African countries with oil resources. During his African tour in September, the Venezuelan leader met with his Algerian counterpart Abdelaziz Bouteflika and proposed a partnership between Venezuelan companies and the Algerian oil company, Sonatrach, to outdo the U.S., which, according to Hugo Chavez, "is plundering Africa’s wealth." "The 21st century will not be a bipolar world, it will not be unipolar. It will be multipolar. Africa will be an important geographic, economic and social pole. And South America will be too." Hugo chavez said Saturday in his opening address at the two day summit. "This is the beginning of the salvation of our people," he continued. The Venezuelan leader has promised his country’s support towards the construction of an oil refinery in Mauritania to process about 40,000 barrels of oil per day which could help supply fuel to Gambia, Mali and Niger.
This anti-imperialist approach aims at "a Southern integration to free itself from the trusteeship of wealthy countries," said Francois Polet, a researcher at the Tricontinental Center (CETRI). The ideology was borrowed from the “Liberator” Simon Bolivar who wanted to liberate oppressed peoples from the grips of dominant powers. According to Muammar Gaddafi, current president of the African Union, "The world isn’t the five countries on the UN Security Council (…) The world’s powers want to continue to hold on to their power. When they had the chance to help us, they treated us like animals, destroyed our land. Now we have to fight to build our own power."
Brazil, Venezuela and Africa
But this anti-American stands has so far not succeeded in dethroning Brazil as Africa’s preferred trade partner. "Since coming to power in 2003, Brazilian President Lula da Silva has made the African continent, especially South Africa, one of his economic priorities. Besides, he has created an India-Brazil-South Africa alliance (IBSA) to change geography, loosen unequal ties with the Triad (North America, Western Europe and Asia Pacific) and establish balanced partnerships" says Jean-Jacques Kourliandsky, a researcher at the Institute of International and Strategic Relations (IRIS). One of IBSA’s aims in Africa is to promote the production of biofuels, such as ethanol, a renewable energy produced from sugar cane, produced in large quantities in Brazil and India, to create jobs.
And Africa is benefiting from these partnerships. "Coveted by Brazil, Venezuela, China, the United States and Europe, the African continent has a lot to gain from the competition. It has at its disposal a range of rich countries," analyses François Polet. "Southern countries have a competitive advantage over the North. First, because they pose fewer conditions (human rights for example) during trade agreements than the United States and Europe, and secondly because their economic structure in terms of agriculture is closer to the African model," he concludes. Addressing the South-South summit, Mr. Lula da Silva said that bilateral commercial exchanges had increased from 6 billion dollars to over 36 billion dollars in only six years, an indication of the success of South-South cooperation.
The timing this year of the South-South summit, which comes three years after the first was held in Abuja, the Nigerian capital, that is, immediately after the U.N. General Assembly in New York and G-20 economic summit in Pittsburgh, “suggests it may turn out to be a forum for many non-G-20 nations to respond and focus on their concerns about the way the global financial crisis is being handled,” hints the Associated Press.

Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has ordered the replacement of the US dollar by the euro in calculating the value of the country’s Oil Stabilisation Fund (OSF).
The edict, issued on Sept 12, follows a recommendation by the trustees of the country’s foreign reserves, Iran’s English-language daily The Tehran Times said on Monday, citing Iran’s semi-official Mehr News Agency.
The move was taken because the government wishes to protect itself from the fragility of the US economy and the weak dollar.
The OSF, which forms part of Iran’s foreign exchange reserves, is a contingency fund set aside to cushion the economy against fluctuating international oil prices.
It is also used to help both the public and private sectors with their hard currency needs by extending loans.
Press TV meanwhile reported that following the switch the interest rate for facilities provided from the foreign exchange reserves is to be cut to 5 percent from 12 percent.
Since its introduction in 1999 by the EU the euro has gained popularity internationally and there are now more euros in circulation than the dollar.

Bilderberg has had front-men call anew for creating a global currency and establishing major European Union-style regions for the administrative convenience of a planned world government. Both steps were taken in September, one by the new Bilderberg-crowned prime minister of Japan and one separately by the UN.
The Geneva-based UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) called for a global currency in a report made public on September 7. UN countries should agree on a global reserve bank to issue the currency and to monitor the national exchange rates of its members, UNCTAD said. The dollar’s role in international trade should be reduced to protect emerging markets from the “confidence game” of financial speculation, it said.
Heiner Flassbeck, a former German deputy finance minister, is co-author of the report calling for a global currency. He worked with then U.S. Deputy Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers in 1997-98 to contain the Asian financial crisis. Summers is a longtime Bilderberg luminary and has been photographed by AFP at annual secret Bilderberg confabs.
Eliminating national currencies has long been a goal of Bilderberg as a crucial step in its plan to establish a world government. A nation’s currency is a symbol of sovereignty, so Bilderberg wants to divide the world into three giant regions, each with its regional currency, for the administrative convenience of its world government bureaucrats.
Bilderberg used its immense power to get Yukio Hatoyama’s Democratic Party of Japan elected over the Liberal Democratic Party, which had led the nation for 64 years. Hatoyama obediently called for an Asian economic bloc, similar to the EU, complete with a regional currency.
Bilderberg’s goal is an “Asian-Pacific Union” and an “American Union,” both modeled after the EU. The EU has its common currency, the euro, and a European Parliament that can impose laws on the once sovereign nations of Europe and a European Court superior to the highest courts of member states. The EU is effectively a single super-state.
The “American Union” is to evolve from the North American Free Trade Agreement, or NAFTA, as it extends throughout the Western Hemisphere. The common currency is to be the “amero.” Fortunately, Bilderberg’s efforts in the Western Hemisphere have been stalled but the campaign continues using “free trade” propaganda.
Ultimately, the UN is to function as a world government with the General Assembly serving as a world parliament. Bilderberg, a secret organization of international financiers and political leaders, will serve as a world shadow government that dictates to the UN.

How Well Has The Federal Reserve Performed for America?
Washington’s
Blog
September 27, 2009
![]() |
|
| Greenspan acted as one of the main supporters of derivatives between the late 1990’s and the present. | |
Let’s look at the Federal Reserve’s actual performance and determine how bad — or good — the Federal Reserve has really been for America.
Initially, Milton Friedman and Ben Bernanke have both said that the Federal Reserve caused the Great Depression through its poor monetary policy.
Many also blame the Fed for blowing an unsustainable bubble between 2001-2007 through artificially low interest rates. If this sounds too much like an Austrian economics perspective, that may be true. But remember that Hayek won the Nobel prize in 1974 partly for arguing that artificially low interest rates lead to the misallocation of capital and to bubbles, which in turn lead to busts.
Moreover, one of the Fed’s main justification has been that it can provide a “counter-cyclical” balance. In other words, during boom times it can put on the brakes (”take the punch bowl away right as the party gets started”), and during busts it can get things moving again. But as economist Jane D’Arista has shown, the Fed has failed miserably at that task:
Jane D’Arista, a reform-minded economist and retired professor with a deep conceptual understanding of money and credit [has a] devastating critique of the central bank. The Federal Reserve, she explains, has failed in its most essential function: to serve as the balance wheel that keeps economic cycles from going too far. It is supposed to be a moderating force in American capitalism on the upside and on the downside, the role popularly described as “leaning against the wind.” By applying its leverage on the available supply of credit, the Fed can slow down a boom that is dangerously overwrought or, likewise, stimulate the economy if it is sinking into recession. The Fed’s job, a former chairman once joked, is “to take away the punch bowl just when the party gets going.” Economists know this function as “counter-cyclical policy.”
The Fed not only lost control, D’Arista asserts, but its policy actions have unintentionally become “pro-cyclical”–encouraging financial excesses instead of countering the extremes. “The pattern that has developed over the last two decades,” she wrote in 2008, “suggests that relying on changes in interest rates as the primary tool of monetary policy can set off pro-cyclical foreign capital flows that tend to reverse the intended result of the action taken. As a result, monetary policy can no longer reliably perform its counter-cyclical function–its raison d’être–and its attempts to do so may exacerbate instability.”…
The Fed is also supposed to act as a regulator for banks and their affiliates, but failed miserably in that role as well.
Indeed, the central bankers’ central banker – BIS – has itself slammed the Fed:
In a pointed attack on the US Federal Reserve, [BIS and its chief economist William White] said central banks would not find it easy to “clean up” once property bubbles have burst…
Nor does it exonerate the watchdogs. “How could such a huge shadow banking system emerge without provoking clear statements of official concern?”
“The fundamental cause of today’s emerging problems was excessive and imprudent credit growth over a long period. Policy interest rates in the advanced industrial countries have been unusually low,” [White] said.
The Fed and fellow central banks instinctively cut rates lower with each cycle to avoid facing the pain. The effect has been to put off the day of reckoning…
“Should governments feel it necessary to take direct actions to alleviate debt burdens, it is crucial that they understand one thing beforehand. If asset prices are unrealistically high, they must fall. If savings rates are unrealistically low, they must rise. If debts cannot be serviced, they must be written off.
“To deny this through the use of gimmicks and palliatives will only make things worse in the end,” he said.
As PhD economist Steve Keen has pointed out, the Fed has also given money to the wrong people to kick-start the economy.
Remember also that Greenspan acted as one of the main supporters of derivatives (including credit default swaps) between the late 1990’s and the present (and see this).
Greenspan was also one of the main cheerleaders for subprime loans (and see this).
The above list is only partial. And it ignores:
(1) allegations that the Fed has manipulated the markets; and
(2) claims that the Federal Reserve System saddles the U.S. government and American people with trillions of dollars in unnecessary debt (that would not be incurred if the government took back the “power to coin money” granted to the government itself in the Constitution).
Even so, it shows that the Federal Reserve has performed very poorly indeed.

Campaign For
Liberty
Monday, Sept 28th, 2009
As anyone who attended Friday’s Audit the Fed hearing could tell you (or as you could see from watching via the live stream), it was quite the experience.
My first thought upon taking my seat was literally, “Wow. We did this.” Seriously. A thorough and complete audit of the Fed wasn’t on anyone else’s radar before Congressman Paul introduced his bill back in February. Even with the recession on in full force and debates raging as to the scope of the bailouts, the odds were good that the bill would suffer the same fate it had when previously introduced and quietly sit in the assigned Committee.
But something had drastically changed since the last time this bill was presented. Principles consistently championed for thirty years were given an unprecedented platform. Apathy was cured. As the days went by, more people started hearing the ever-louder sounds of the Constitution being shredded on the local, state, and national levels, and those people decided they had had enough.
We had a Revolution. Correction, we are having a Revolution.
A Revolution not only of signs and rallies, but of dedicated, inexhaustible action.
Campaign for Liberty adamantly refused to allow this bill to go gently into that foul legislative abyss. It became our number one legislative priority for 2009.
We started calling our representatives’ offices. While their staffs were busy answering phones, they heard a ding as the latest email arrived in their inbox. Before they could reach their mouse to click on their browser, the mail showed up with fresh letters from their constituents urging — demanding — their boss sign on in support of HR 1207.
As they finished sorting through that latest batch, their fax machine churned out even more forms.
Cheers erupted at the St. Louis Regional Conference as we announced that we had pushed 1207 past its previous cosponsor high of 44.
Then we aimed for 100. 150. 200.
218. (June 11)
Surely no more, right? A majority would satisfy us.
A massive, transpartisan coalition assembled to argue otherwise.
250.
280.
295.
I could hear it in their voices and see it in their expressions. Although the congressmen at Friday’s hearing were interested in auditing the Fed, they were most motivated by the fact that their constituents just wouldn’t stop seeking their support for it. They knew they would have to answer for their position.
Secondly, I was thrilled at the admiration Dr. Paul was getting as various members of the Financial Services Committee acknowledged his deep, thorough understanding of the monetary system — recognition in a public congressional forum that was long, long overdue.
And did you catch a congressman who wasn’t named Ron Paul mentioning (and asking the Fed representative a question about) Ludwig von Mises and whether he was right after all about the Fed compounding the economy’s ills?
Ok… that was just cool.
Freedom is becoming more popular.
Next, I watched as the Federal Reserve General Counsel tried his best to defend an institution that is ultimately indefensible. One question after another came from Ron Paul, Scott Garrett, Michele Bachmann, Alan Grayson, and more.
Positions in chairs were oddly shifted.
Favorite quote of the day:
Ron Paul to Fed General Counsel: “You’re very lucky. I’m back. And I have unlimited time.”
Dr. Paul was joking when he said it, but nevertheless, it was a priceless moment.
Eventually, the questions for the Fed Counsel ended and it was time for Tom Woods to make the pro-Audit case.
Read his statement here.
I loved watching Tom tell the Committee that the Fed should just go ahead and prepare for the inevitability of an audit.
Who would have thought a year ago that they would see Tom Woods testifying before Congress, much less telling them that their resistance was futile?
I already used the word “priceless.” Writers of the world, please pardon my repetition.
Priceless.
In the end, not a whole lot happened that we didn’t expect to happen. It was a traditional congressional hearing. Typical questions and answers.
But don’t lose sight of the fact that this was a defensive hearing for the Fed. They were there to actively protect themselves, not just to give the typical propaganda. Our movement started with a country doctor from Texas who was motivated by the closing of the gold window. Over 30 years later, we have joined together to challenge the most secretive institution in Washington on its own territory.
For a change, we have looked big government in the eye and made it blink.
Make no mistake, though today’s hearing was a historic event on many levels, it’s also the sign that we’ve now arrived at the hardest part of this battle – making sure Audit the Fed passes clean through and receives a standalone vote. Pressure to make this a part of the overall regulatory reform package will be intense. (This was the final impression I was left with during the proceedings.)
It will be very easy for our representatives to vote on a severely-watered down version while saying that they cosponsored the original bill and still support the “spirit of the legislation.”
Keep in mind, we weren’t supposed to reach this point. And the same critics will say that we won’t be able to get a clean bill through Committee, or we won’t be able to get a vote in the House, or we won’t make any further progress in the Senate.
Bring on the challenges. We’re pretty good at exceeding expectations.
“We did this.”
Indeed we did.
And we’re not through yet.

According to Macedonian Radio and Television On-line (MRT), a Russian professor predicts the United States will fall apart in July 2010. MRT reports, “‘Mr. Obama is similar to the last Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev. Gorbachev was also making great promises for the Soviet Union, but the situation was only getting worse,’ he said. By next summer, according to Professor Panarin, the US will disintegrate into six blocs–and everyone will get their piece. ‘The probability that the United States of America fall apart in July 2010 is more than 50 percent,’ said Igor Panarin, Professor at Moscow’s Diplomatic Academy within the Russian Federation’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.”

| Russian professor Igor Nikolaevich Panarin. | |
MRT went on to report, “Panarin came up with his grim forecast while analyzing the parallels between the Soviet Union in its final days and the current situation in the United States. ‘American dream ballooned seven times in 11 years. During Gorbachev era, the Soviet dream ballooned five times.’ Americans hope [President] Barack Obama ‘can work miracles,’ he wrote. ‘But when spring comes, it will be clear that there are no miracles.’”
See the MRT report at

The Drudge Report confirmed the MRT report and added, “Professor Igor Panarin said in an interview with the respected daily IZVESTIA . . . ‘The dollar is not secured by anything. The country’s foreign debt has grown like an avalanche, even though in the early 1980s there was no debt. By 1998, when I first made my prediction, it had exceeded $2 trillion. Now it is more than 11 trillion. This is a pyramid that can only collapse.’”
At least some of what Panarin said back in the fall of 2008 either has taken place or is in the process of taking place. Drudge reported, “When asked when the U.S. economy would collapse, Panarin said: ‘It is already collapsing. Due to the financial crisis, three of the largest and oldest five banks on Wall Street have already ceased to exist, and two are barely surviving. Their losses are the biggest in history. Now what we will see is a change in the regulatory system on a global financial scale: America will no longer be the world’s financial regulator.’”
Drudge continued reporting Panarin as saying that “the U.S. will break up into six parts– the Pacific coast, with its growing Chinese population; the South, with its Hispanics; Texas, where independence movements are on the rise; the Atlantic coast, with its distinct and separate mentality; five of the poorer central states with their large Native American populations; and the northern states, where the influence from Canada is strong.”
Panarin further suggested that Russia might even “claim Alaska.”
See an archived version of Drudge’s report at
http://www.chuckbaldwinlive.com/readarchive_20090107.html
Reporting on the same story, The Wall Street Journal said, “Prof. Panarin, 50 years old, is not a fringe figure. A former KGB analyst, he is dean of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s academy for future diplomats. He is invited to Kremlin receptions, lectures students, publishes books, and appears in the media as an expert on U.S.-Russian relations.”
The WSJ goes on to say that Panarin believes that “mass immigration, economic decline, and moral degradation will trigger a civil war next fall and the collapse of the dollar.”
See The Wall Street Journal report at
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123051100709638419.html
This is not the first time that Comrade Panarin has made such a prediction. Joseph Farah, editor of World Net Daily, noted in December of 2008 that Panarin has been making similar projections for the past ten years. In a column regarding Panarin’s predictions, Farah wrote, “Until recently, no one took him very seriously. And then came the economic calamity that has rocked Americans and the rest of the world, too. Now, Panarin’s predictions of an end of the United States, due to economic and moral collapse, is being taken seriously by many.”
Read Farah’s column at
http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=84884
So, will the United States break up in 2010? Or 2011? Or 2012? Or anytime in the near future, for that matter? If history is any teacher, the chances would seem good that Panarin’s predictions may be closer to reality than anyone would like to admit.
A historian and linguist from South Africa recently wrote me a fascinating letter, in which he chronicled the major world empires of history, dating the time of their rise and fall. Here is what his calculations look like:
Assyria (859-612 B.C.): a 247-year reign.
Persia (538-330 B.C.): a 208-year reign.
Greece (331-100 B.C.): a 231-year reign.
The Roman Republic (260-27 B.C.): a 233-year reign.
The Roman Empire (27 B.C.-180 A.D.): a 207-year reign.
The Arab Empire (634-880 A.D.): a 246-year reign.
The Mameluke Empire (1250-1517 A.D.): a 267-year reign.
The Ottoman Empire (1320-1570 A.D.): a 250-year reign.
Spain (1500-1750 A.D.): a 250-year reign.
Romanov Russia (1682-1916 A.D.): a 234-year reign.
Great Britain (1700-1950 A.D.): a 250-year reign.
The USA (1790-2009 A.D.): 219 years and counting.
My honorable historian-friend calculates America’s reign using its post-Revolutionary War years. He notes that America’s reign is currently at 219 years. He further notes that the average duration of every world superpower listed above is a little over 238 years.
One does not need to be a master mathematician or possess a Ph.D. to realize that America is fast approaching the mark in which every major world power in history has either collapsed or, at a minimum, lost its world leadership and power.
My friend also reminded me of his homeland’s (South Africa’s) demise. He told me that he noticed the handwriting on the wall in time to relocate his family to a more peaceful and stable European country. Many of his friends and countrymen were not so fortunate, however, and thousands were killed and their properties confiscated. He then warned me, “The period of Grace is closing, in what is your homeland.”
In addition, serious students of Holy Writ are also struck with the similarities between societal conditions in America and those of Old Testament Israel (as well as with Gentile nations) at those times of divine judgment and retribution. As someone trenchantly said, “If God spares the United States, He will have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.”
Will the Russian analyst’s prophecies come true in 2010? Probably not. Does that mean that America is impervious to some sort of national demise? Not at all. Is America already in serious trouble? You bet. Could there be some sort of break-up within the United States in the near future? In my opinion, that is a very realistic probability. If this happens, will freedom suffer? Almost certainly. Will those with tyrannical tendencies use the opportunity of any national disaster to try and enslave us? They already do. I personally do not believe that there is any “If” to the question. The only questions are, “When?” and “To what degree?”
And, of course, there is another question: “When the break-up comes, how many Americans understand the principles of liberty enough, and are personally prepared enough, and are willing enough to resist whatever power it may be that seeks to place us under the thumb of oppression and fight for the same protections and vanguards of liberty that first established this land?” Obviously, the answer to that question is yet to be determined, isn’t it?

U.S.-Canada Regional Economic and Energy Integration
Dana
Gabriel
Borderfire Report
September 28, 2009
Trilateral initiatives, such as NAFTA and the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) have further advanced North American integration. It is also at a state and provincial level that regional integration is being achieved in areas of trade, the environment and energy.
The 33rd Annual Conference of New England Governors and Eastern Canadian Premiers was held in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada on September 14-15 and was co-chaired by host Premier Shawn Graham and Maine Governor John Baldacci. Throughout the years, the governors and premiers have forged a partnership and expanded economic ties, including cooperation on energy and environmental issues. At each conference, policy resolutions are enacted which call on actions by the state and provincial governments, as well as by the two national governments. The current global financial crisis has placed more focus on finding collaborative regional approaches to economic and energy issues. The recent conference included resolutions concerning the green economy, renewable energy, climate change, energy efficiency, pandemic preparedness and open and secure trade. Regional leaders endorsed a blueprint for the region’s energy future.
In March of this year, Premier Graham and Governor Baldacci announced support for a Northeast Energy Corridor. This would position New Brunswick and Maine as energy hubs and link their resources to energy stressed East Coast states. It would also expand U.S.-Canada shared strategic objectives in energy supply and energy security. There are calls for such an energy corridor to be flexible and able to handle power lines, natural gas and other energy supplies, depending on future demand. In an open letter to the Eastern Canadian premiers, the Council of Canadians cautioned, “against adopting a regional energy vision that includes large energy project ‘corridors’ directed at export-oriented trade. These projects create negative local impacts and undermine energy security in Eastern Canada.” My article Towards a North American Energy Corridor also details plans to develop a cross-border Western Energy Corridor. It is through the SPP, that the North American Energy Working Group has further integrated a continental energy strategy.
The 29th Annual Conference of New England Governors and Eastern Canadian Premiers in 2005 produced a Resolution Concerning the Security and Prosperity of North America. It stated that the governors and premiers, “inform the governments of Canada and the United States that it supports the objective of the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America, and note to the two federal governments the importance of involving the states and provinces in the preparation of measures to support the Partnership.” Part of the resolution also included, “preparing a draft action plan aimed at strengthening cooperation between the members of the Conference of New England Governors and Eastern Canadian Premiers in areas targeted by the Security and Security Partnership of North America.”
A recent article by Jerome Corsi reported that, “President Obama is continuing President George W. Bush’s effort to advance North American integration with a public-relations makeover calculated to place the program under the radar of public opinion and to deflect concerns about border security and national sovereignty.” According to confidential sources in the U.S. Department of Commerce and State Department. “The Obama administration has ‘rebranded’ and ‘refocused’ the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America, or SPP, to advance the Bush administration’s agenda of North American integration under the rubric of the ‘North American Leaders Summit,’ a less controversial banner.” Corsi also reported that the North American Competitiveness Council which is made up of business executives from Canada, the U.S. and Mexico will continue to operate under the new structure, along with more than 20 trilateral working groups. They will further concentrate in areas of North American citizen security, economic competitiveness, energy policy and climate change.
North American integration continues on many different fronts and this includes at a state and provincial level. It appears as if the SPP may be dead in name only. Many of its key priorities were part of the agenda at the recent North American Leaders Summit held in Mexico. The push for a North American Union continues as it is becoming increasingly clear that Obama embraces globalization and has no intention of upholding the Constitution or protecting American sovereignty.

U.S. threatens airstrikes in Pakistan
Christina Lamb
The Times Online
September 27, 2009
The threat comes amid growing divisions in Washington about whether to deal with the deteriorating situation in Afghanistan by sending more troops or by reducing them and targeting the terrorists.
This weekend the US military was expected to send a request to Robert Gates, the defence secretary, for more troops, as urged by General Stanley McChrystal, the US commander there.
In a leaked strategic assessment of the war, McChrystal warned that he needed extra reinforcements within a year to avert the risk of failure. Although no figure was given, he is believed to be seeking up to 40,000 troops to add to the 68,000 who will be in Afghanistan by the end of this year.

Sec. State Clinton Repeats Obama Lie to Threaten Iran
Bridget Johnson and Jordan Fabian
The Hill
September 28, 2009
Iran said it test-fired short-range missiles in a show of force Sunday as Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said that the country would have to prove it is not developing nuclear weapons or face more sanctions.
Clinton, in an appearance taped Friday for CBS’ “Face the Nation,” said that the revelation of a nuclear facility near the holy city of Qom just raised additional suspicions about the intent of the Iranians’ nuclear program. “We believe that it is a covert facility designed for uranium enrichment,” she said.
Clinton stressed that answers were needed by Iran in time for the Oct. 1 meeting of the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council plus Germany. “We don’t belive they can present convincing evidence that it’s only for peaceful purposes,” she said of the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program, adding that they would still be given the chance to present evidence before international agreements on further action would be decided. If the U.S. doesn’t get the answers it wants, “we will work with our partners to work toward sanctions,” Clinton said.

‘No credible evidence’ of Iranian nuclear weapons, says UN inspector
Julian Borger and Richard Norton-Taylor
The Guardian
October 1, 2009
The claims and counter-claims came on the eve of a potentially decisive meeting in Geneva between diplomats from six world powers and an Iranian delegation about Tehran’s nuclear ambitions.
Iran insists its programme is for peaceful purposes, and that there is nothing illegal about a uranium enrichment plant under construction near the city of Qom, the existence of which was revealed last week. Iranian leaders say they did not have to inform the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) until six months before the first uranium was processed.

@ICH
There are some terms that people in Islamic and Western countries should never
say to each other, because they confuse and inflame more than they clarify. The
most obvious ones would be “jihad”, “crusade” and “great satan”. All
of them are used in somewhat innocuous ways by the people who utter them, but
mean something completely different – and much more inflammatory – to
foreign ears.
I would like to propose a topical addition to the list of words that should
never be used, and that would be “myth”. Specifically when it is used in the
context in which Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Egyptian Brotherhood
leader Mohammed Mehdi Akef have mentioned it in recent months, i.e. to speak of
"the myth of the Holocaust" (Egyptian Islamists deny Holocaust; BBC
News, 23 Dec 2005) . They know what they mean by the phrase, and I know what
they mean, but if they think that most people over here are going to hear it and
respond with anything more profound than “Holocaust deniers!” then they are
deeply ignorant of how central is the Holocaust in U.S. perceptions of the
Middle East, how superficial is the U.S. public discourse on relations with the
Muslim world, and how much that discourse is framed by those who are pushing for
a “clash of civilizations” and who are currently fixated on finding a
justification to bring about regime change in Iran.
Everyone knows what a myth is, right? It’s just a fairytale; an unlikely,
invented story featuring toga-clad heroes of the ancient past. So when
Ahmadinejad and Akef talk of the “myth of the Holocaust” they are simply –
as the BBC suggests in the report I linked to above – saying that the
Holocaust never really happened, and can be written off as Holocaust deniers.
Except that that’s not what a “myth” is. (And I must be getting old,
because I actually remember the days when any reporter employed by the BBC would
have known the meaning of the word, and made some effort to render it
accurately).
Let me tell you what a “myth” really is.
Humans are complex beings who live in complex societies, and are capable of
thoughts, insights and feelings beyond the mere physical needs of everyday life.
Some of the intangible things that we feel about ourselves are difficult to
articulate, so we express them by telling stories. And that’s what myths are.
Myths are stories that groups of people tell to express and justify their most
fundamental beliefs about themselves, their origins, their essential nature and
their aspirations. The stories themselves can be historical or non-historical,
but that is irrelevant to the myth. In the U.S., which for all its religiosity
is basically a secular and demythologized society, we tend to think of myths as
fairytales because the most common exposure we have to them is via the
craptacular Hollywood spectacles of the 1960's like Jason and the Argonauts. But
in fact a myth is a myth because it is a story that tells an underlying,
existential truth about the people who tell it, and historicity is nothing to do
with what makes it a myth.
For example, there are tribes in New Guinea that tell a traditional story about
how children are conceived. The story explains that human conception takes place
only when an emu passes through the parents’ village by night, and casts its
shadow over their hut - all of which was very amusing to the 19th century
European anthropologists who first documented the story, and thought it meant
that the dumb natives didn’t even know where babies come from. But of course
the dumb natives knew perfectly well where babies come from: the story was
actually about something else altogether.
In the religious mythology of those New Guinea tribes, the emu was a symbol of
divinity, and the story about the emu’s shadow was a creation myth that
explained the origins of human beings and expressed what kind of creatures we
are. By saying that a human baby can be conceived only when the parents are
touched by the presence of the emu (God), the story expresses the conviction
that humans are not just physical beings. Although a part of the created order,
human beings have “higher” qualities that set them apart from every other
created thing; they have the ability to transcend their instincts and passions
and to be self-aware, spiritual, creative, empathetic etc, etc. So the
conception of a new human being is never just a physical act, but requires an
act of divine creation. It needs the mother and father to do their bit, but it
doesn’t happen unless the emu makes an appearance too, as the myth puts it. If
the people of New Guinea were Jewish, they might express the same fundamental
understanding about themselves by telling a story about God breathing the breath
of life into a handful of dirt to create the first man, or they might sum it up
simply by saying that humanity is made “in the image and likeness of God”.
Another kind of myth: here in the U.S. we have made a myth out of the story of
the Mayflower. Very few of us could claim that our families literally arrived
here on the Mayflower. A few of us descend from people who were already here
when the Pilgrims arrived. Quite a few of us came here on slave ships; an awful
lot of us immigrated on steamships in the early 20th century; and some of us
came here more recently courtesy of Boeing. But as Americans, we share a common
narrative that says we, collectively, came here on the Mayflower. And we do that
because we see in the story of the Mayflower a representation in historical form
of what we as a nation believe America to be. We take the historical event and
make it into a story that describes what we as Americans believe we essentially
are: a pioneering people, a city on a hill, a community of faith in search of
religious liberty, a free people fleeing tyranny and establishing democracy, etc
etc.
That’s a different kind of myth from the emu story: one is a nationalistic
myth, based on an historical event; the other is a religious myth, based on a
non-historical event (i.e. there isn’t a real flesh and blood emu involved in
human conception). But they’re both myths, because they are stories used to
tell an underlying, existential truth about the people who tell them, and
calling them myths is not in any way a judgement on whether the events in the
story are historically true.
So what does it mean when Ahmadinejad and Akef refer to the “myth of the
Holocaust”, as they both certainly did:
Speaking to thousands of people in the southeastern city of Zahedan, Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad said: "Today, they have created a myth in the name of Holocaust
and consider it to be above God, religion and the prophets." -- Holocaust a
myth, says Iran president
The head of the Muslim Brotherhood, the main opposition force in Egypt's
parliament, has echoed Iran's president in describing the Holocaust as a myth.
"Western democracy has attacked everyone who does not share the vision of
the sons of Zion as far as the myth of the Holocaust is concerned," Mohamed
Akef said in a statement on Thursday. --Brotherhood chief: Holocaust a myth
"Some western governments, in particular the US, approve of the sacrilege
on the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), while denial of the `Myth of Holocaust', based
on which the Zionists have been exerting pressure upon other countries for the
past 60 years and kill the innocent Palestinians, is considered as a
crime," added the president. -- President: Real holocaust to be sought in
Palestine, Iraq
They don't say the Holocaust didn't happen; they are suggesting something more
complex than that. That last quote in particular suggests that Ahmadinejad is
using the word “myth” in its correct, technical sense. Remember: myths are
stories that groups of people tell to express and justify their most fundamental
beliefs about themselves, their origins, their essential nature, etc.
Ahmadinejad is saying that Zionism tells the story of the Holocaust in exactly
this way, i.e. as a vehicle to explain and justify what Zionists believe about
themselves. When he “denies” the “myth” of the Holocaust, he is not
denying the Holocaust, he’s not even discussing the Holocaust as a historical
event at all. He is denying the validity of the use to which the story of the
Holocaust is being put. He is saying that instead of being a story that
expresses an underlying truth, “the myth of the Holocaust” expresses a
“truth” that simply isn’t true, and that denial of that myth is such a big
deal in the West because you are not meant to question whether the underlying
claim is really true.
So what exactly is the “myth of the Holocaust” that Akef and Ahmadinejad
reject? Well, do you remember Wissam Tayem, the Palestinian man forced by
Israeli soldiers to play his violin for them at a checkpoint in the Occupied
Territories?
The reaction to Wissam Tayem's experience at that checkpoint succinctly
summarized what Ahmadinejad means by "the myth of the Holocaust". As
Chris McGreal pointed out at the time, the sight of a Palestinian being forced
to play the violin for his occupiers caused quite a stir in Israel. But the main
reason it made Israelis (specifically Jewish-Israelis) uncomfortable was not
because they recognized that it's simply wrong to treat a human being the way
Wissam Tayem was treated. Instead, it made them uncomfortable because it
challenged their image of the kind of people they are, and the kind of country
they have created. In other words, it undermined the Israelis' myth of
themselves.
Of all the revelations that have rocked the Israeli army over the past week,
perhaps none disturbed the public so much as the video footage of soldiers
forcing a Palestinian man to play his violin...
[A]fter the incident was videotaped by Jewish women peace activists, it prompted
revulsion among Israelis not normally perturbed about the treatment of Arabs.
The rightwing Army Radio commentator Uri Orbach found the incident disturbingly
reminiscent of Jewish musicians forced to provide background music to mass
murder. "What about Majdanek?" he asked, referring to the Nazi
extermination camp.
The critics were not drawing a parallel between an Israeli roadblock and a Nazi
camp. Their concern was that Jewish suffering had been diminished by the
humiliation of Mr Tayem.
Yoram Kaniuk, author of a book about a Jewish violinist forced to play for a
concentration camp commander, wrote in Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper that the
soldiers responsible should be put on trial "not for abusing Arabs but for
disgracing the Holocaust". "Of all the terrible things done at the
roadblocks, this story is one which negates the very possibility of the
existence of Israel as a Jewish state. If [the military] does not put these
soldiers on trial we will have no moral right to speak of ourselves as a state
that rose from the Holocaust," he wrote. "If we allow Jewish soldiers
to put an Arab violinist at a roadblock and laugh at him, we have succeeded in
arriving at the lowest moral point possible. Our entire existence in this Arab
region was justified, and is still justified, by our suffering; by Jewish
violinists in the camps." [Emphasis mine]
Israel shocked by image of soldiers forcing violinist to play at roadblock; The
Guardian, 29 Nov 2004.
That last line sums up precisely what Ahmadinejad and Akef mean when they say
that Zionism has made a “myth of the Holocaust”. They mean that Zionism
tells the story of the Holocaust with the purpose of justifying what it has done
to Palestine and its inhabitants. The underlying truth that the myth is meant to
convey is that Jewish suffering in Europe justified the establishment of a
Jewish state in a land whose population was 1. not Jewish, but overwhelmingly
Muslim and Christian and 2. not responsible for European anti-Semitism or the
Holocaust. Ahmadinejad and Akef are saying that this myth is a fake; that it is
not an explanation of an underlying truth, but an appropriation of the Holocaust
in order to further a political agenda. When they deny the “myth of the
Holocaust”, they are not talking about whether the historical events of the
Holocaust really happened, they are denying that Zionism is entitled to do what
it does to the Palestinians because of what Nazism and its collaborators did to
European Jewry. In short, "the myth of the Holocaust" says that Shoah
justifies Nakba, and Ahmadinejad and Akef are saying, “No, it doesn’t”.
This is not some obscure reading of Akef and Ahmadinejad’s “myth”
comments: they have both made it clear that their questions about the Holocaust
aren’t about the Jewish genocide in Europeper se, but specifically about why
the Palestinians should be the ones to pay for it. If you read the context in
which Ahmedinejad said “they have made a myth of the Holocaust”, you find
that the subject he is discussing is not whether the Holocaust took place, but
rather “why the Palestinian nation should pay for the crimes the Europeans
have committed” (which – if you think about it - kind of takes for granted
already that those crimes really did happen):
"If the Europeans are telling the truth in their claim that they have
killed six million Jews in the Holocaust during the World War II - which seems
they are right in their claim because they insist on it and arrest and imprison
those who oppose it, why the Palestinian nation should pay for the crime [?]…
Stressing that "the same European countries have imposed the
illegally-established Zionist regime on the oppressed nation of Palestine",
he said, "If you have committed the crimes so give a piece of your land
somewhere in Europe or America and Canada or Alaska to them to set up their own
state there. Then the Iranian nation will have no objections, will stage no
rallies on the Qods Day and will support your decision."
Similarly, Muhammad Akef explicitly denied that his comments were anything to do
with Holocaust denial:
The leader of Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood has said that when he called the
Holocaust a myth this week, he did not mean to say it never happened but wanted
to highlight the West's attitude towards democracy...
In a message on Thursday, Akif said: "Western democracy has attacked
everyone who does not share the vision of the sons of Zion as far as the myth of
the Holocaust is concerned."… But on Saturday, his office said:
"Some media gave this a meaning which he [Akif] did not intend [and read it
as] a denial that the Holocaust of the Jews by the Nazis during World War Two
happened. The fact is that he did not deny that it took place."
And Akef’s Deputy, Dr. Mohamed El-Sayed Habib, made it clear what "myth
of the Holocaust Akef was rejecting:
As to the reported statement describing the holocaust as a myth, it was not
intended as a denial of the event but only a rejection of exaggerations put
forward by Jews. This does not mean that we are not against the holocaust.
Anyway, that event should not have led to the loss of the rights of the
Palestinian people, the occupation of their land and the violation and assault
of their sacred places and sanctities.
So, who really cares what a myth is, and what bearded foreigners half a world
away have to say about it? Normally, this might just be an interesting academic
discussion, but right now it actually matters that we try to understand what
Ahmadinejad is really saying, because the Iranian government is currently the
target of a disinformation campaign designed to soften up public opinion for
regime change in that country. When we hear an inflammatory claim being pushed
by our corporate media about Iran and its president - like for example,
“Ahmadinejad denies the Holocaust!!!” – we would do well to remember the
sad performance of our news media in laying the foundation for war in 2003, and
to ask ourselves whether each new revelation is real news, or manufactured
“news” designed to mobilize public opinion for a new war.
The same people who brought us the spectacular failure that is the Iraq war,
would now like to try their luck in Iran. Paul Wolfowitz explained in May 2003
that, in the absence of a clear and present danger from Saddam Hussein, the Bush
Administration had looked around for a justification for invading Iraq and
settled on WMDs as the rationale that everyone could agree on. This time around,
the U.S. needs a new excuse for invading a country that clearly is not going to
invade us, and it’s really not too hard to see that the new excuse is going to
focus in large part on the person of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Just look at the
thrust of the stories about him that our news media have been feeding us over
the last six months.
1. He’s a Holocaust denier! That’s what we are meant to understand from the
reporting of his “myth of the Holocaust” statements that I have just been
discussing.
2. He wants to wipe Israel off the map! That’s what we were told in our news
media’s hysterical reporting of Ahmadinejad's speech to the “World Without
Zionism” conference in Tehran on 26 October 2005. Except it turns out that,
when correctly translated, he didn’t really say that Israel must be wiped off
the map, but that "the occupation regime over Jerusalem should vanish from
the page of time", which is not a threat of war or annihilation, but an
expression of hope for regime change. Ahmadinejad isn’t a Zionist. He
doesn’t believe that the Muslim-majority land of Palestine should be forcibly
transformed into a Jewish state, and his speech is an expression of confidence
that Zionist rule over Jerusalem will come to an end just as surely as other
once-powerful regimes (he cites the examples of the Shah in Iran, the Communists
in the Soviet Union, and Saddam’s rule over Iraq) all came to an end. If you
look at the Middle East through a Zionist perspective, you might not like to
hear that, but it doesn’t give anyone the right to pretend that he’s
threatening to launch nukes at Tel Aviv or drive the Jews into the sea, as the
“wiped off the map” language would suggest.
3. He's a "psychopath" who "speaks like Hitler"!
4. Iranian Jews are being forced to wear yellow stars! Do you remember that
story, peddled first by Canada's National Post and and subsequently reproduced
in the New York Post, about the law passed in the Iranian Parliament under which
“Jews would be forced to wear yellow cloth strips - like the Star of David
that Jews were made to wear in Nazi Germany”? (The National Post has since
removed this article from its web site, but screenshots of the original story
can be viewed at Lenin’s Tomb, and I have uploaded the text of the original
article here). Just look at the photos the National Post used to illustrate that
story, to hammer home the point about where laws like this are leading Iran:
Except there is no such Iranian law. This story was a complete hoax (later
retracted by the National Post), perpetrated by an Iranian monarchist expatriate
journalist named Amir Taheri, who coincidentally happens to be a member of
Benador Associates, a public relations firm that lists a large number of leading
neo-conservatives, including American Enterprise Institute (AEI) associates
Richard Perle, David Frum, Michael Ledeen, Michael Rubin, and Joshua Muravchik,
among its clients. Major boosters of the war with Iraq, Benador clients, who
also include former Central Intelligence Agency chief James Woolsey and former
Israeli minister Natan Sharansky, have also called for the Bush administration
to take a hard line against Iran.
The newspapers that so far have run the story are similarly identified with a

Are you sensing a theme here? Are you getting the message that Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad is the new Hitler and Iran is the Fourth Reich and they’re just
days away from nuking us and if we don’tShock and Awe them into regime change
and install a U.S.-friendly regime that will recognise Israel and sell their oil
and gas to us instead of to the Chinese then we’re all a bunch of appeasing
Neville J’aime-Berlin’s and WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!…? Because that’s
what you’re meant to understand. That’s the new meme, to make you scared
enough to support a war you wouldn't otherwise support. Once again, our fears
are being manipulated by people who want a war but haven't got a justification
for starting one. Last time, they brought public opinion on board with scary
stories about Iraq’s nonexistent nuclear weapons and Saddam's fictitious links
to al Qaeda; this time around, it's Iran's nonexistent nuclear weapons and
Ahmadinejad's spurious equivalence to Hitler.
And that’s why unravelling the meaning of Ahmadinejad’s "myth of the
Holocaust" is not just an obscure academic exercise. Knowing that a
propaganda offensive is underway to demonize Iran's president as the new Hitler
so that we can justify an attack on his country, we need to think critically
every time our mass media draws these parallels between Nazi Germany and
present-day Iran and consider whether this is a legitimate equivalence or more
manipulative scare-mongering to lay the foundation for a new war. Despite what
Richard Perle and Michael Ledeen et al sound like when they dispassionately
discuss rearranging the Middle East, war is not really like a game of Risk or a
role-playing exercise in an undergraduate PolSci seminar. It is much more
likeyoung soldiers getting their limbs blown off by roadside bombs, or entire
families wiped out "collaterally" by our missiles. Knowing that this
is what is really at stake, we should at least make the effort to determine
whether the “Holocaust denier!” and other hitlerish epithets currently being
hurled at Iran are based in fact, or are just the latest work of the same
misinformers who – from the safety of their Washington thinktanks - repeatedly
pimp for war in the Middle East, safe in the knowledge that it will never be
their friends and relatives on the receiving end of the IEDs or the so-called
smart bombs.
After more than three years in Iraq, when more than 2500 of our own troops and
unknown thousands of Iraqis have been killed, Americans have finally become
skeptical about why we invaded Iraq in the first place, and are wondering what
exactly we are fighting for there. When it comes to the threatened attack on
Iran, maybe this time we could do the critical thinking before we invade and
sentence to death tens of thousands of our fellow human beings whose lives are
as valuable in every respect as our own. In the immortal words of the President
himself: "There's an old saying in Tennessee -- I know it's in Texas,
probably in Tennessee -- that says, fool me once, shame on -- shame on you. Fool
me -- you can't get fooled again."

Iran: US, UK, France deceiving world on their nukes
Press
TV
September 28, 2009
Iran’s ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency has accused the US, Britain, and France of deceiving the international community over their nuclear programs.
In an exclusive interview with Press TV, Ali Asghar Soltaniyeh rejected remarks by President Barack Obama of US, British Premier Gordon Brown, and Nicolas Sarkozy of France over Iran’s nuclear program.
The three leaders earlier attacked the Islamic Republic over its second under-construction enrichment facility, located 100 kilometers south of Tehran, calling it a “deception.”
“I categorically reject that there have been any concealment or any deception,” Soltaniyeh said on Saturday.
IAEA Safeguards Agreements declared that Iran is only obliged to inform the UN nuclear watchdog of the existence of enrichment plants 180 days before the introduction of nuclear materials into the facility.
The Iranian envoy noted that he gave a letter to the agency on September 21 and informed the deputy general, elaborating that its new plant would be operational in about 540 days.
He added that there were no obligations to inform the IAEA sooner, according to the agency’s document 153.
“It is a pity that none of these three leaders have legal advisers to inform them that according to comprehensive safeguards we are only obliged to inform six months before we put nuclear material.”
“This site does not have any nuclear material at all now,” according to Iran’s representative to the IAEA.
“The problem is that we are the victim of negligence of those who claim that they know in fact the international law. They are talking in the UN but they are not aware of the very principles of the Statue of the IAEA.”
Soltaniyeh also clarified that Washington, London, and Paris deceive the people around the world by violating the Non-Proliferation Treaty articles.
“Those three countries in fact have violated for the last 40 years NPT articles.”
“The United Kingdom has under secret program of the nuclear submarines so-called trident with over 30 billion pounds and the people of the world and even the British people are not well aware of that. This is a real deception that Mr. Brown has to answer the international community because this is a shocking threat to the international peace and security.
“France is also working on the nuclear weapon programs continuously.”
“Americans are working hard on the nuclear weapon posture review. These are all deceptions and concealment.”
The western countries have a “long-term strategy” and a “hidden agenda” to “destroy and jeopardize the spirit of cooperation between Iran and the IAEA in order to find an excuse and pretext for sanctions and other measures,” Soltaniyeh concluded.

Obama Demands Children Spend More Time in State Indoctrination Centers

Infowars

It’s not enough the government has its hooks in America’s children most of the year. Now Obama wants to do away with summer vacation and have children spend more time in the government’s indoctrination centers.
![]() |
|
| Barack and Michelle Obama have their children in a private school that caters to the elite. | |
“Obama says American kids spend too little time in school, putting them at a disadvantage with other students around the globe,” reports the Associated Press. “Now, I know longer school days and school years are not wildly popular ideas,” the president said earlier this year. “Not with Malia and Sasha, not in my family, and probably not in yours. But the challenges of a new century demand more time in the classroom.”
It’s interesting Obama would use his kids to make a point about children around the country in public schools. Obama’s kids attend Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C., a private school that charges $29,000 a year in tuition. Theodore Roosevelt, Richard Nixon, and Bill Clinton sent their children to Sidwell. Vice President Al Gore’s son, Albert Gore III, also graduated from Sidwell Friends. It’s an exclusive school that prepares the children of the elite to lord over the rest of us.
In addition to eliminating summer vacation, the government wants to increase the hours kids spend in government indoctrination camps every day.
Obama and Education Secretary Arne Duncan told the AP kids need to be in school and away from their parents more because of dismal academic performance.
In fact, as H. L. Mencken noted in 1924, compulsory education is not about test scores and academics — it’s about state control of children. Mencken said the aim of public education is not “to fill the young of the species with knowledge and awaken their intelligence…. Nothing could be further from the truth. The aim … is simply to reduce as many individuals as possible to the same safe level, to breed and train a standardized citizenry, to put down dissent and originality. That is its aim in the United States… and that is its aim everywhere else.”
Former teacher John Taylor Gatto explains that the purpose of so-called public education is to teach children to follow orders and not question authority. Public education is about undermining the autonomy of the family.
“Institutional leaders have come to regard themselves as great synthetic Fathers to millions of synthetic Children, by which, I mean, to all of us. This theory sees us bound together in some abstract family relationship in which the State is the true Mother and Father, hence it insists on our first and best loyalty,” writes Gatto in his essay, We Need Less School, Not More.
John Taylor Gatto, a retired school teacher, talks about the real purpose of public eduction — state controlled consciousness.
In a review of Gatto’s book, Dumbing Us Down, Ron Miller writes that the crux of Gatto’s critique is that
in the past 125 years, social engineers have sought to keep American life under tight central control. Compulsory schooling is a deliberate effort to establish intellectual, economic, and political conformity so that society can be managed efficiently by a technocratic elite. “School,” claims Gatto, “Is an artifice that makes …. a pyramidal social order seem inevitable, although such a premise is a fundamental betrayal of the American Revolution.” Along with the media — especially television, which Gatto criticizes harshly in another essay — schooling removes young people from any genuine experience of community, any genuine engagement with the world or immersion in lasting relationships. It robs them of solitude and privacy. Yet these experiences are what enable us to develop self-knowledge and to grow up “fully human,” argues Gatto, and he asserts that our most troubling social pathologies, such as drug abuse and violence, are the natural reaction of human lives subjected to mechanical, abstract discipline.
As a social engineer for the global elite, Education Secretary Arne Duncan wants to place state indoctrination at the very center of society. “Aside from improving academic performance, Education Secretary Duncan has a vision of schools as the heart of the community,” the AP reports.
Obama’s message is clear — the state owns your children and now demands they spend more time in dangerous and often violent indoctrination centers that teach them not only how to become obedient robots and docile workers on the global slave plantation, but also teaches them about sex, suicide, and situational ethics instead of rational and independent thought.

Jamboree Used by Military, Police to Indoctrinate Boy Scouts
Kurt Nimmo
Infowars
September 27, 2009
An Infowars reader has sent us an account of military and police indoctrination of Boy Scouts at the Boy Scouts Of America Great Lakes Centennial Jamboree, held on September 25, 26, and 27 at Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
“I thought it would be a great adventure with thousands of scouts from all over the Midwest,” an assistant Scout Master writes in an email. “The official count was 10,144 people in attendance (Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Adult Leaders, Parents, and Staff).”
Instead of an old-fashioned Boy Scout event of camping and outdoor activities, the attendees were subjected to unrelenting military and police propaganda.
The Scout Master immediately noticed the presence of the Wisconsin Army National Guard and police at the event. The next day, he observed Humvees, troop vehicles, cargo vehicles, a patriot missile battery truck, and other military equipment at the event.
The police demonstrated “chase and takedown demonstrations” and showed off a new SWAT vehicle. “There were several military displays,” he writes. “The National Guard had a Baghdad combat simulator setup that people 16 and older could try. Three people at a time were allowed in, one person got to man a machine gun on a vehicle, another got an M16/AR15 [while] the other person got a 9mm pistol. You were simulating going through the streets of Baghdad trying to kill terrorists, militants etc. There were also civilians you were supposed to either avoid shooting or determine if they were a terrorist. There was an Army Blackhawk helicopter that showed up and circled the area and then landed for people to go look at and get into and talk to the Army pilots.” (See photos below.)
The Lt. General of the Wisconsin National Guard gave a speech and compared the Boy Scouts to the U.S. Army. “They showed video on two big screens that were on either side of the stage that showed old and new video of scouts in different activities, marching, and mixed in with those scenes were video scenes of the Army and scenes from World War I and the war in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The Scout Master, a listener of the Alex Jones Show, said the display disturbed him deeply. “I have to tell you I was scared to death of what is getting ready to happen to scouting. I told my son who was with me at the show to listen for certain things and don’t buy into what was being said. I felt like I was in 1940’s Nazi Germany and was being prepared for indoctrination.”
When he expressed concern to other adults at the event, he was dismissed as a conspiracy theorist.
“I even saw Girl Scouts at this Jamboree (not to as many as the Boy Scouts mind you but there were some). I think scouting is a very important thing in the lives of boys and girls. I think we can still save the Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts if ALL scout leaders and parents of scouts stand up and in one voice say ‘NO!’ we will not have our boys and girls turned into the Hitler Youth of America. We need to write, call the local Councils, and the National offices and tell them to STOP this ‘indoctrination’ that is happening to our boys and girls. It’s not to late!” he concludes.

On May 14, 2009, Infowars reported on a program initiated by the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI to train Boy Scouts and “thousands of young people in skills used to confront terrorism, illegal immigration and escalating border violence — an intense ratcheting up of one of the group’s longtime missions to prepare youths for more traditional jobs as police officers and firefighters,” according to the New York Times.
“The Boy Scouts of America has announced a partnership with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security on Ready Kids, a family-friendly program designed to increase the level of citizen preparedness nationwide by motivating and helping parents and teachers to educate children about the importance of being prepared for emergencies,” a press release issued by the Boy Scouts announced in February. “Scouting embodies the very essence of being prepared and has specific training and merit badges designed to encourage proper awareness and planning in our Scouts. To partner on a program such as this allows us to reinforce the importance of preparation to families throughout the nation,” said Roy Williams, Chief Scout Executive.
“The Department of Homeland Security is training teenage scouts how to conduct armed raids on terrorists and drug dealers,” Steve Watson wrote on May 14. “Given recent concerns over the DHS definition of ‘right wing extremists’ and the agency’s penchant to affiliate veterans, gun owners, Ron Paul supporters and even those who question the mainstream media with terrorists, one wonders exactly who the boy scouts are being trained to target.”
Earlier this month the AFP reported on an effort by the DHS to recruit Girl Scouts. “The United States wants to enlist its 3.4 million Girl Scouts in the effort to combat hurricanes, pandemics, terror attacks and other disasters. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) launched a campaign Tuesday to entice the blue, brown and green-clad multitudes to be even more prepared, with the promise of a new patch if they pitch in.”
“The news that Girl Scouts are to be recruited for disaster preparedness by the federal government follows similar programs being run by the DHS that train Boy Scouts how to conduct armed raids on discontented American citizens, described as ‘terrorists’ and ‘drug dealers’ by Homeland Security,” Paul Joseph Watson noted on September 10.
The Boy Scout event in Wisconsin was exploited by the government to further the indoctrination agenda, preparing America’s youth for a future of foreign wars, occupations, and mass murder campaigns and the police state lockdown at home.

Beijing’s ‘aim is to make people docile’

The Central Propaganda Department’s main tasks are to control information, instruct the masses and mobilize them when necessary — all in the service of the party.
BEIJING – When the deputy editor of China’s Nan Guo Morning Post, Liu Yuan, first heard details of the death of a 15-year-old boy at a camp to cure Internet addiction, he knew he had a powerful story – and a public responsibility.
The details were shocking.
The boy had been dropped off at the camp by his parents on Aug. 1 about 2 p.m. and less than 14 hours later he was dead – savagely beaten by camp “trainers.” Locals later learned the camp was an unregistered business that apparently benefited from state money.
Liu dispatched a reporter and the Post broke the story Aug. 4, revealing that 12 people had been arrested and the camp shut down.

If Trends Research Institute Director Gerald Celente is right another volley may have been fired in what he is calling the “Second American Revolution.”
In August while most everyone’s attention was still focused on the Tea Parties, Celente was already in fast-forward trend identification mode.
Here’s part of an e-mail trend alert he sent to clients, “While there are many wild cards that could light the fuse, The Trends Research Institute forecasts that if the threat of government-forced Swine Flu vaccinations is realized, it will be the fourth shot (of the second American Revolution). Tens of millions will fight for their right to remain free and unvaccinated.”
News reports about this issue have slowly registering it. The Wall Street Journal cited it Saturday. Headlines in Wednesday’s papers stepped up the tempo as they heralded the protests of New York state health care workers who have been told to take the swine flu shot or lose their jobs.
But the issue is already beyond the New York state lines.
According to a UPI report , Hospital Corp. of America, with clinics and hospitals in 20 states including Tennessee and Virginia, is requiring its 120,000 employees to be vaccinated.

Fear over lack of testing, possible side effects cited in survey
Steve Watson
Infowars.net

A survey conducted by a leading consumer watchdog group has found that the vast
majority of parents in the U.S. say they will not vaccinate their children
against H1N1 flu, citing concerns over the safety of the vaccine.
The results of the poll have been published by the independent, nonprofit organization Consumers Union in their magazine Consumer Reports, one of the top-ten-circulation magazines in the country.
Almost two thirds of respondents to the poll stated that they would either refuse the vaccine outright or wait for more information before considering vaccinating their children.
Exactly 50% said that they would hold off on immunizing their kids due to concerns about possible side effects of the vaccine and worries over whether it has been tested enough.
A further 14% of parents ruled out vaccination altogether as an option.
43% of the parents said that they were not worried about their children catching swine flu, and an equal amount said they felt other parents were overreacting.
35% of respondents said that they would definitely vaccinate their children.
Consumers Union, which has been in operation for over seventy years and has offices in Washington, D.C. and Austin, Texas, surveyed 1,502 adults by telephone over a five day period last month. The Group has recommended that parents consider immunizing their children against swine flu this Fall.
The results of this survey come in the wake of others that found the majority of doctors and health care workers would also refuse to be vaccinated over safety concerns, as well as half of all pregnant women.
As we have previously reported, Pandemrix, the H1N1 vaccine manufactured by GlaxoSmithKilne for use in the U.S. and the U.K., contains both the novel adjuvant squalene, which has been linked to Gulf War Syndrome, and thimerosal, the mercury based preservative that some scientists have testified is a cause of autism.
In addition, the European Medicines Agency states on its pandemic website that there is “no clinical experience in the elderly, in children or in adolescents” with Pandemrix.
Authorisation was fast tracked for the vaccine based on research using “mock up” bird flu (H5N1) vaccines dating from 2007 and 2008.
The vaccine is now being given to children as young as six months in the U.S. and the U.K., along with a rival vaccine produced by Novartis in the U.S., and another produced by Baxter in the U.K.
Medical observers are watching closely to determine which vaccine produces the least side effects.
The vaccines have been rushed through safety procedures while the government has provided pharmaceutical companies with blanket immunity from lawsuits arriving out of the vaccine causing deaths and injuries.

Editor’s note: This occurred following a mass government advertising campaign in Britain encouraging parents to inject their kids with this poison, including a TV advert that has been playing non-stop. We are not playing games when we warn about vaccines, this is deadly serious and if more parents do not start questioning their trust of a system that is killing and injuring their children then more and more will die, especially following the imminent mass swine flu vaccination, one of the primary targets of which is children and babies.
A 14-year-old schoolgirl died hours after being given the controversial cervical cancer vaccine today.
The teenager from Blue Coat Church of England School, in Coventry, died in hospital after receiving the Cervarix jab.
The tragedy marks the first reported death since more than 1.5m doses of the injection were given to young girls as part of a national vaccination programme since last September in the UK.
A number of her classmates have reported side effects to the vaccine.
Critics say the case highlights the risks of mass vaccination, because no testing regime can ever pick up the rarest and potentially most lethal side effects.
Tonight there were calls for the entire cervical cancer vaccination programme to be suspended, but officials from the Department of Health would not say whether it will be halted for tens of thousands of girls due to be given the vaccine in the coming months.

CDC Drafts “Isolation Order” for H1N1
Kurt Nimmo
Infowars
September 28, 2009
The following draft of an “isolation order” was discovered on the CDC’s website. It is a template for state and local officials to impose quarantines and what would effectively be martial law.
“Your illness [as determined by state and local officials] requires that you be isolated and requires further public health investigation and monitoring.”
Failure to obey will result in imprisonment without bail prior to trial and the possiblity of a two year prison term.
In other words, according to this document, officials can impose quarantine without evidence that somebody is actually infected with a virus that is now negligible at best. It may also be used to quarantine potentially millions of people suffering from any number of illnesses — or not suffering from any disease at the discretion of the state — that have nothing to do with H1N1. It is basically a carte blanche for martial law under the cover of protecting the public from a communicable disease that is demonstrably a manufactured and weaponized threat.

Forced Vaccination and Quarantine Laws in Canada
SkyWatch Canada Infowars September 29, 2009
![]() |
|
| Ontario has ordered more than enough vaccine to inoculate the entire population. | |
After the mainstream media ran numerous stories on mass vaccination plans in Canada and the US there has been a large outcry from health care workers as well as the general public. Although the media never came out and plainly said that the ‘H1N1 Vaccine is mandatory for everyone’, they did allude to it. A story was published in the National Post that plainly stated “Under Canada’s official pandemic plan, the entire population would ultimately be immunized against the H1N1 swine flu.”. This is basically equivalent to saying that the H1N1 vaccine is compulsory for all Canadians. But after the public expressed disdain for this, the government started to back pedal. Chief Public Health Officer Dr. David Butler-Jones started making statements like ,“ Immunization will not be mandatory and not all Canadians are expected to want it.” More news articles were later published making it seem like only enough vaccine is being ordered for the 75% of the population that are expected to want it. But then the results of the vaccine ‘trials’ ‘demonstrated’ that only one dose will be needed as opposed to two. This implies that Ontario has ordered more than enough vaccine to inoculate the entire population. So in light of all of the mixed messages, what’s the real story on forced vaccination in Canada? In 1996 Ontario passed the Health Care Consent Act, which allows treatment such as vaccination to be administered without consent of the individual in the case of a loosely defined “Emergency”. In Quebec the Public Health Act clearly states: “Notwithstanding any provision to the contrary, while the public health emergency is in effect, the Government or the Minister, if he or she has been so empowered, may, without delay and without further formality, to protect the health of the population, (1) order compulsory vaccination of the entire population or any part of it against smallpox or any other contagious disease seriously threatening the health of the population and, if necessary, prepare a list of persons or groups who require priority vaccination. ” Clearly it is not unforeseeable that mandatory vaccination could be a reality in Canada during this pandemic.
Recently, Greg Evensen a former Kansas State Trooper reported that he has state troopers across America telling him that to enforce vaccination orders this fall, road blocks will be set up along with a system to identify travelers who have received the vaccine. Metal shackle like bracelets with embedded RFID chips will be attached to those who receive the shot. Those who refuse to be vaccinated will be loaded on a bus and sent to a quarantine facility/FEMA camp. Templates for quarantine orders for Iowa , Florida and North Carolina have been found on the CDC web server, that tell a similar story. Get the H1N1 vaccine or get sent to a quarantine/detention facility. The question should be asked, are there similar plans in the works in Canada? In 2005 a new Quarantine Act was passed to deal with the transmission of communicable diseases by travelers entering or leaving Canada. Powers are awarded under this act to a Quarantine Officer to issue an order for a traveler who may have come in contact with someone with a communicable disease, to comply with treatment (ie. vaccination) or any other preventative measure (Section 26). If the traveler refuses to comply with the order he or she may face detention at a quarantine facility, until they decide to comply with treatment (ie. vaccination) or no longer pose a risk (Section 28). The threat posed by this act is diminished by the fact that it only applies to people leaving or entering Canada. Unfortunately there is a real possibility that the definition of a traveler may be expanded to include internal travelers (ie. everyone). The 2004 Public Safety Act (Bill C-7 (2004) formerly Bill C-42 (2002)) amends the Quarantine Act , and in doing so grants powers to the Minister of Health to make an interim order without Parliamentary oversight, to expand the definition of a traveler to include anyone residing in Canada. This sets the stage for a grim situation much like the one depicted by Greg Evensen. Is it likely that despite all the legislation allowing mandatory vaccination in Canada that they will be optional this fall ? The mainstream media is trying to make it seem like that will be the case. But what if the NWO crime syndicate intends to advance their population reduction agenda through a mass vaccination campaign? Opposition to forced vaccinations would be more than enough reason to round up resistors and send them to quarantine facilities/ concentration camps. If that is to be the case, lets hope things don’t go according to plan.

All dogs in Britain will be fitted with microchips which contain their owner’s details, under cross party plans designed to track family pets.
Owners will be forced to install the microchip containing a barcode that can store their pet’s name, breed, age and health along with their own address and phone number.
The barcode’s details would then be stored on a national database which local councils could access in a bid to easily identify an owner’s pet.
The new scheme, supported by the Tories and Labour, is designed to curb the trade in stolen dogs, prevent the use of animals in anti-social or violent incidents and reduce the record number of stray dogs being found on British streets.
If an owner failed to insert a chip, at an estimated cost of about £10, they could be fined or face the possibility of having their pet taken away.
